Guangdong'S Import And Export Growth For Three Consecutive Months

According to data released by the Guangdong branch of the General Administration of Customs 15, the foreign trade data of the province have been improving recently, and the total import and export volume has been increasing for three consecutive months. However, the customs department reminds us that the overall situation of foreign trade is still not optimistic, and there is still a great downward pressure on exports in the three quarter.

According to customs statistics, from 2016 to May, the total value of foreign trade and import and export in Guangdong was 2 trillion and 300 billion yuan, 0.4% lower than that in the same period last year, and 3.2% in the same period, accounting for the same period in the whole country.

The total value of 25.1%; from 1 to May, Guangdong's overall foreign trade development showed a steady trend towards a good trend, which was better than the national level in the same period. It was in the middle of major foreign trade provinces and cities, slightly better than Jiangsu, Shanghai and Beijing provinces.

After 3 consecutive years of positive growth in April, May

Foreign trade continued to maintain a good momentum of development. In May, Guangdong imported and exported 499 billion 920 million yuan, an increase of 1% over the same period, of which 318 billion 120 million yuan was exported, 0.6% down; imports 181 billion 800 million yuan, an increase of 3.9%.

It is noteworthy that from 3 to May, Guangdong's export growth rate increased by 16.2%, 10.7% and 0.6% respectively, showing a trend of falling month by month.

Foreign trade presents a new bright spot. From 1 to May, Guangdong's tourism shopping exports were 82 billion 900 million yuan, an increase of 1.7 times; cross-border e-commerce imports and exports 3 billion 980 million yuan, an increase of 83.1%.

In the main trading partners, Guangdong's import and export volume dropped sharply in May.

From 1 to May, Guangdong's growth in imports and exports to ASEAN and the EU was limited to its main trading partners.

The import and export of the United States, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan have all declined. What should be particularly concerned is that in May, Guangdong's import and export volume dropped by 12.3% to the US.

Guangdong customs officials believe that although the recent three consecutive months of positive growth in the province's foreign trade development, the next stage of the foreign trade situation is still not optimistic.

In May, the leading index of China's foreign trade was 33.1, down 0.7 from the previous month. The export manager index, the new export orders index and the confidence index of managers also fell, indicating that the three quarter still faces greater downward pressure on exports.
