Fujian'S Exports Still Face Greater Pressure And Will Face Three Challenges.

In the first half of this year, Fujian's exports showed a stable trend.

According to the 29 day Bulletin of Fujian commerce department, the export volume of 341 billion 790 million yuan (RMB, the same below) increased by 3.9% in the first half of the year, an increase of 1.6 percentage points over the first quarter, which is 6 percentage points higher than that of the whole country.

According to the analysis report of the business sector, we can see that the export of ASEAN and other places, the growth of traditional commodity exports and the growth of Taiwan's exports will lead to a stable return of Fujian's exports in the first half of three years.

Statistics show that Fujian's exports to ASEAN, Hongkong and the European Union increased by 21.2%, 15.8% and 3.7%, while exports to Africa and Oceania increased by 1.9% and 12.7% respectively.

And so on, the total exports of the 7 commodities totaled 3.1% yuan, an increase of 3.1%, and Taiwan's exports 12 billion 610 million yuan, an increase of 12.9%, an increase of 6.8 percentage points over the first quarter.

Although the growth rate of export trade in the first half of the year has picked up compared with the first quarter, the development of Fujian's foreign trade still faces great pressure in the background of the international market downturn, the rise of trade protectionism, Britain's "off Europe" and the rising geopolitical risk.

Economic experts pointed out that at present, Fujian's exports still face greater pressure and will face three major challenges:

First, the demand for some of the main trade exporting countries has declined.

In developed countries, consumption and investment in enterprises lack growth momentum, and market demand is weak.

Emerging economies are constrained by endogenous growth momentum and limited policy space. The downward pressure on the economy continues to increase, and market demand generally shrinks, and stable and effective orders are not enough.

Statistics show that in the first half of the year, Fujian's exports to the US, Japan and Latin America decreased by 7.3%, 1.6% and 17.3% respectively.

Second, Fujian's exports are mainly traditional products and primary processing trade products, and the overall competitiveness of exports is still weak.

The export of high and new technology products was 40 billion 70 million yuan, down 1.2%, and electromechanical products 114 billion 700 million yuan, down 2.8%.

Third, the TPP agreement (p Pacific Partnership Agreement) will have a diversion effect on Fujian's trade.

After the entry into force of the US TPP, Member States will be more inclined to import from member countries. Some export trade in Fujian province will be shifted, especially Fujian's textile and garment industry and agricultural products export will be greatly affected.

Fujian authorities are taking measures to tackle these challenges and stabilize foreign trade.

Fujian Commerce Department officials said that we should give full play to the opening advantages of the core area of the maritime Silk Road in twenty-first Century, the free trade pilot zone and the Fuzhou new area, and deepen the domestic and foreign markets, and promote the steady development of foreign trade.

The official said that the series of policies and measures to promote the development of foreign trade will be implemented, and "one to one" should be promoted to expand export of key enterprises and key goods; organize enterprises to participate in key international exhibitions, and support enterprises to take orders from various exhibition platforms and expand market share.

Weng Xiaofang, Commissioner of customs and excise of Putian, also said that many measures have been researched and developed, such as continuing to promote decentralization and decentralization of policies to enterprises, so as to benefit the enterprises and promote the steady development of foreign trade.

Fujian officials also put forward support for trade mode innovation.

According to the plan, Fujian will summarize the experience of tourism shopping commodity export and pilot projects of comprehensive foreign trade service, accelerate the expansion of the pilot area, foster a new growth point in foreign trade, support enterprises to build a number of overseas warehouses and overseas operation centers for export products, and promote the construction of service outsourcing industry gathering areas, and speed up the construction of Fuzhou and Pingtan e-commerce platforms.
