The production enterprises are from 8 provinces (cities), namely, Anhui, Shanghai, Fujian, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Shandong, Hebei, Hubei and so on.

This comparative test was commissioned by Anhui Fiber Inspection Bureau. The testing items include formaldehyde content, pH value, decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dye, extractable heavy metal content, color fastness, identification, clothing and sewing strength. The results of the comparative test report on infant clothing showed that 20 of the 29 samples met the relevant standard requirements, accounting for 68.97% of the total sample size, and 16 of the remaining 9 samples had problems, accounting for 31.03% of the total sample size.

According to the characteristics of infants' delicate skin, large activity, sweating and frequent gnawing clothes, this test focuses on the dry color fastness to moisture, color fastness to rubbing, acid fastness, sweat fastness, water fastness and saliva fastness. The results showed that among the 29 brand samples, 8 indexes of 3 brands of baby brand, Snoopy and Qi Le rabbit were lower than the national standard, and 46 color fastness indexes of 23 brand samples only reached the national minimum standard value.

Young children, whose skin is not yet fully developed, is weak in external resistance, and is susceptible to allergies and absorption of foreign substances. Dye molecules and heavy metal ions in decolorizing pigments are likely to be absorbed by infants and young children. The national mandatory standard GB31701-2015 stipulates that the durable labels on children's clothing that can be worn on clothing can be placed in a position not touching the skin. In this comparative test, it was found that 20 brands of 29 brands were not in conformity with the durability label position, accounting for 68.97% of the total number of samples tested. This comparative test also found that there were problems in the use of annotation, Blue Sasha, tinkling cat and five colored rattan 4 brands. The annotation standard is not the current standard and the label is not correct. Some brand instructions are incomplete, indicating that the address of the manufacturer is not marked, and there is no telephone number, which brings inconvenience to the consumers after sales contact.

It is reported that this comparative test has also invited more than ten experienced mothers in the volunteers' Library of the Consumers Association to express their feelings about the 29 brands. According to their own experience, "mothers" have conscientiously evaluated the safety of sample garments in terms of permeability, softness, dimensional proportions, convenience of wearing, and accessories (buttons and zippers). Among the mothers' scores, the highest scores in four aspects, such as breathability, comfort, ease of wearing, quality of work and so on, were UNIQLO's children's dresses. In terms of softness, Rabbi brand scored the highest; the size ratio rationality was better than that of the four brands of ANN, Qi Le rabbit, Rabbi and Les enphants; the safety of the accessories (including buttons and zippers) was the highest score of the baby clothes made by the Antarctic brand.
