The brand wants to sell to girls who like to explore, to enjoy life, and to dress up like Tomboy, but want to have some lovely women.

In 2014, designer Aza Ziegler founded Calle del Mar in Broolyn, New York.

The brand name is from Spanish, and English is "street by the sea". It is the name of a street in the town of Aza Ziegler when she was a child.

"When you go to the corner, you can see the trees with sharp edges, and you can see the sparkling Pacific.

This is what my design wants to express.

Aza Ziegler said, "because I grew up in California, I have always been fascinated by California's Retro lifestyle.

In designing, I dealt with the romance of surfing and skateboarding culture, and finally you saw it.

Aza Ziegler liked to make his own clothes since he was young.

After receiving a bachelor's degree in fine arts from Pratt College of art in New York, her design gained some attention.

Although Aza Ziegle has lived in Broolyn for many years, he has been in California for months to find inspiration.

Retro surfing and skateboarding culture have been influencing the aesthetics of Aza Ziegler.

When she was young, she liked to dress herself up as Tomboy, and often wore boys' clothes to play basketball, but she still wore lace skirts and white ball shoes.

"This is the inspiration for my design of the basketball wool sports skirt."

The latest series use light color, light blue, light coloured powder and light green, even in dark colors, and the color temperature is not high.

In addition, the style is T shirt, multi fold tennis skirt, and a shirt with a back opening, a shirt with petal tail, and a raincoat with reflective effect. It looks like a candy in the past.

For Aza Ziegler, California's style is actually a way of life. "My design is an affirmation of California's way of life.

Towels, skirts and sweatshirts, for example, can keep you dry after surfing.

The practicality of clothing has always been an important element in my design.

On the other hand, street elements were inspired by my learning design in New York.

In the autumn and winter series of 2015, Aza Ziegler referred to the surfing and skateboarding culture of Venice Beach in Italy. It also painted a bunch of T T-shirts, socks, Velcro pockets and corduroy materials.

Then he turned to the art world and studied the style of David Hockney, a British painter and a stage designer.

"David Hockney, and I all look at the world in a similar way.

The vigorous scenery is very good, the pink hills, the blue valley, the world is like this.

In that season, I studied his photography and paintings around 1970s.

The emotion that this series wants to express is "dreaming of endless summer days".

"When I design, I ask myself what kind of clothes I lack most in winter, and what kind of design is most lacking in the market today.

So I finally asked Calle Del Mar to have more innovative winter colors.

Now, Beyonc's sister has also become a fan of the brand.

The stylist also used a skirt of Calle del Mar in the Beyonc music recording tape.

Now the brand is mainly sold by electricity suppliers, but in 2015, in an interview with the media, Aza Ziegler has expressed its hope to open shop in the future.
