Why Business Travelers Are Still Reluctant To Share Economic Services?

Travel is still reluctant to use sharing economic accommodation or ground pportation providers.

Expedia's travel management company Egencia surveyed more than 6000 businessmen and found that 41% of British companies allow employees to use Airbnb, Lyft, Uber and HomeAway.

Although 13% of companies also encourage employees to use these platforms and relax their travel policies, only 28% of them use these brands.

Egencia's report points out the use of substitution.

Business travelers who travel with them say they do this for convenience, culture or comfort.

The study also found that nearly 30% of the world's business travellers believe that the company's travel policy is becoming more stringent and the proportion in the United States is as high as 40%.

Egencia Susan Olding, Asia Pacific Customer Service Director, said that many companies have optimized personalized travel policies for executives, but that is far from enough.

"Companies also need to consider providing personalization for other employees.

Another reason why the company did not relax the travel policy was that the company insisted on signing a chain store agreement with the hotel rather than giving employees the opportunity to choose alternative accommodation.

The report also pointed out: "although the tourism sharing economy is very attractive for business travelers, you must carefully select your eyes wide. You have to consider the impact of the economic sector on their safety, insurance and responsibilities."
