2017 Cotton Production Accounted For Over 70% In Xinjiang, And The Enthusiasm For Cotton Planting In The Mainland Was Significantly Reduced.

Output data show that in 2017, the total output of cotton in China was 5 million 486 thousand tons, an increase of 142 thousand tons over 2016, an increase of 2.7%.

Among them, the total output of Xinjiang is 408.2 tons, accounting for 74.4% of the whole country, which is 7.1 percentage points higher than that of last year.

According to the subregional perspective, cotton yield per unit area and cotton farmers' income in Xinjiang increased.
