Chen Dapeng Attended The Signing Memorandum Of Understanding Of China Textile Alliance And Global Trade Association To Enhance Cooperation Relationship

In June 6, 2018, the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding on cooperation between China Textile Union and the global trade association (amfori) was held in Beijing.

Chen Dapeng, vice president of China Textile Industry Federation and executive vice president of China Apparel Association, attended the signing ceremony and held talks and exchanges with amfori director general Ai Weide.

Yan Yan, chief executive officer of China Textile Association, and MS. Zhou Zhuoying, chief representative of amfori Greater China, attended the signing ceremony.

The cooperation between China Textile Union and amfori in the field of corporate social responsibility has been more than 10 years.

In 2007, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on joint training, mutual recognition and regular dialogue between Beijing and the two sides.

Over the past ten years, on the basis of this memorandum of cooperation, the two sides have made fruitful cooperation and attempts in the field of supply chain cooperation training, social responsibility standards integration and advocacy of free trade. Many of them have pioneered the field of international textile and apparel supply chain social responsibility.

With the deepening of cooperation and the expansion of the scope of cooperation, the two sides agreed that it is necessary to comprehensively enhance cooperation and explore more cutting-edge and substantive cooperation space.

Vice President Chen Dapeng first affirmed the achievements made by the two sides in many years' cooperation. He pointed out that the nineteen major reports of the party clearly put forward that socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era. This is a new historical orientation for the development of our country. The main contradiction of our society has been pformed into the contradiction between the growing needs of people's life and the development of imbalances.

Around this major contradiction, the textile industry has changed from traditional manufacturing industry to innovation driven technology industry, responsibility oriented green industry and cultural leading fashion industry. This is an important new mission faced by the industry in the new era.

CSC9000T as China's textile and apparel

The first social responsibility management system is China's textile industry.

The milestone in the process of corporate social responsibility construction has played an important role in promoting the social responsibility construction of enterprises.

Especially after the revised version of CSC9000T, the index system and applicable leaders have been revised and adjusted. We hope to further discuss with BSCI on standard mutual recognition and system cooperation, broaden the scope of cooperation, innovate cooperation ways, and contribute to the sustainable development of the industry.

In January of this year, FTA-BSCI officially changed its name to amfori-BSCI, indicating the extension of "free trade" from Europe to "Global trade".

Ai Weide introduced the new positioning, new purpose and new brand image of the new name amfori to the China Textile Corporation.

Trade will bring benefits to the three aspects of society, environment and economy, and then benefit the whole world.

Ai Weide emphasized that the purpose of amfori is to support enterprises to promote human prosperity, make responsible use of natural resources and promote global development and trade.

In the future, the two sides will enhance their cooperative relations in many fields, including joint training or factory improvement projects in the areas of common concern between the two systems, and achieve the two-way docking of training needs and resources, cooperate to monitor and evaluate the effects and impacts of training and improvement projects. In accordance with the characteristics of the two systems and members, support each other in the supply chain to promote each other's standard system, so as to realize the full coverage of the social responsibility standard system in the supply chain of the whole textile and garment industry; establish a social responsibility performance data exchange platform and experience exchange mechanism for the two member enterprises, promote dialogue among stakeholders in the supply chain, and promote the positive impact of social responsibility data on the business decisions of the supply chain.

During the signing ceremony, the two sides discussed the details of cooperation mode and content of cooperation. The talks laid a good foundation for further in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the future.
