As the only textile industry country with completely vertical integration in North Africa and Western Asia, the Egyptian textile industry chain is very complete. There are about 5500 textile enterprises in China covering all stages from cotton cultivation to spinning, weaving and garment production, and the whole production process can be completed by itself.

The textile industry plays a very important role in the Egyptian economy.

It accounts for 3% of Egypt's gross domestic product (GDP), accounting for 27% of the total output value of the manufacturing sector.

According to the statistics of Egypt, in 2017, Egypt's textile and raw material exports amounted to US $2 billion 748 million, accounting for 11% of Egypt's total exports, mainly to Europe and the United States.

Cotton in the world can be divided into three types: long staple cotton, fine wool cotton and coarse cotton.

Fiber length of more than 2.5 centimeters can be called long staple cotton, and long staple cotton in the nobility -- Egyptian long staple cotton fiber length, usually in 3.3 cm or more.

According to the Egyptian Cotton Association, more than 90% of the Egyptian cotton is now fakes.

Said Booy, an exporter of Egyptian cotton textile products, told reporters that his company had mainly exported to Europe and the United States and lacked understanding of the Chinese market.

Through the cooperation between the Egyptian trade and Industry Ministry's Export Development Bureau and the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, he is full of expectation for this exhibition.

"We believe that our products will take a place in the huge Chinese market."
