Xinjiang Huoerguosi Port Import And Export Volume Of Freight Trade To Achieve "Double Increase"

The reporter learned from the Huoerguosi customs of Xinjiang that in 2018, the volume of trade in import and export volume of Huoerguosi port was double increased, and the volume of import and export freight volume was 35 million 742 thousand and 600 tons, an increase of 23.3% over the same period last year. The volume of import and export trade was 135 billion 200 million yuan, an increase of 22.2% over the same period last year.

Freight volume and trade volume account for 60.2% and 45.6% of Xinjiang customs area respectively, ranking first in the ports of Xinjiang.

Data show that in 2018, the export of Huoerguosi port, China's high-tech, textile and clothing, mechanical and electrical products and export of superior agricultural products increased rapidly, mainly exported to the five Central Asian countries and Russia.

At the same time, the import volume also increased, and imported commodities were mainly traditional bulk goods such as natural gas, licorice, sunflower seeds and animal fur.

Zhu Dongmei, head of Huoerguosi customs comprehensive business section, said that with the further development of the "one belt and one way" construction, China's cooperation with neighboring countries has injected new space and vitality into foreign trade enterprises.

In addition, Huoerguosi customs has effectively promoted the development of regional import and export trade through improving customs environment, optimizing commodity structure and implementing preferential policies.
