UN: China Dominates Global Creative Product Trade
According to the voice of America January 15th (Beijing time January 16th), the United Nations Trade and Development Organization released the "creative economy outlook" on Monday. The report shows that the growth of global creative products trade is growing rapidly, with China playing a leading role in the trade of creative products and services.
Data show that over the past 13 years, the export growth of creative products has exceeded 7%, and the value of the global creative product market has increased from US $208 billion in 2002 to US $509 billion in 2015.
China's growth is particularly notable, the largest single exporter and importer of creative products and services, and the growth rate of exports of creative products is two times that of the global average.
The report points out that creative industries generate revenue through trade and intellectual property rights and create new opportunities, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises.
At the same time, when global trade downturn affects industries, the creative economy shows stronger resilience than most industries, indicating that the creative economy is booming through cultural, technological, commercial and innovative convergence.
The report also stressed the pformation from creative products to creative services.
In the context of declining industrial and agricultural output, this trend is converging with the global trend towards service industry.
