Jiangxi Consumer Protection Committee Recovered 12 Million 760 Thousand Yuan Of Economic Losses Last Year For Consumers.

In 2018, the Jiangxi Provincial Consumer Protection Committee (Consumer Association) received 9272 complaints from consumers, resolving 8423 pieces and saving 12 million 760 thousand yuan for consumers.

The deputy director of Jiangxi provincial market supervision bureau and Tan Wenying, deputy director of the Provincial Consumer Protection Committee, disclosed the above information at the meeting.
It is reported that in the past year, the members of the Jiangxi Provincial Consumer Protection Committee and the Provincial Consumer Protection Committee (the Consumer Association) have performed relevant functions in accordance with the law, responding to the demands of consumers and serving the consumers well, playing an important role in creating a safe and safe consumer environment and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
According to official statistics, in 2018, the Jiangxi Provincial Consumer Protection Committee (Consumer Association) received 56 thousand visitors and consulted, received 9272 complaints, settled 8423, and solved 90.84% of complaints, saving 12 million 760 thousand yuan for consumers.
Among them, 240 cases of double compensation for operators' fraud have been doubled, and the amount of compensation is 280 thousand yuan.
It is understood that according to the nature of complaints, in all complaints, quality problems accounted for 27.96%, false propaganda accounted for 14.46%, and after-sale services accounted for 9.59%.
Product quality and false propaganda are still the main causes of consumer complaints, accounting for 42.42% of the total complaints.
According to the analysis of goods and service categories, in 2018, the Jiangxi Consumer Protection Committee (Consumer Association) organized 5954 complaints about commodity categories.
Among them, there are 1055 household electronics and electrical appliances, accounting for 17.72% of the total complaints, ranking the first in the category of commodities, and second to fifth in pportation, clothing, shoes, hats, food and daily commodities.
Last year, the Provincial Consumer Protection Committee (Consumer Association) received 1787 complaints from service providers.
In service complaints, 644 complaints from life and social services accounted for 36.04% of the total service complaints, ranking first in service category complaints, and second to fifth in sales service, telecommunications services, culture, entertainment, sports services and housing decoration and property services respectively.
According to the analysis of the Jiangxi Consumer Protection Committee, the above data show that consumer complaints in Jiangxi are still concentrated on goods and popular services that are closely related to daily life, especially in high-value goods and new consumption areas.
Tan Wenying said that the Jiangxi Provincial Consumer Protection Committee will focus on fulfilling the responsibility of the consumer protection committee to organize the legal public welfare, promote the construction of the credit system in the consumer domain, and create a safe and secure consumption environment.
