    Jingdong group recently released its 2018 full year and four quarter earnings report, as a core business Jingdong mall operating profit reached 1.6%, a record high. It is noteworthy that Jingdong retail sub group CEO Xu Lei's disclosure of the 2019 clothing brand development plan will continue to strengthen the solid support for clothing brand businesses, enhance the core operation capability of Jingdong platform, and integrate the clothing brand and the main social business operators to provide a better and diversified consumer choice.

    "In 2019, we made three main efforts in the e-commerce brand. We will continue to stabilize the business brand and bring more choices to consumers. The second is that we will build up our core operational capability. We will use two modes to integrate the supply chain of Jingdong, and the warehouse and store of our business will be connected with the whole system of Jingdong, so as to improve the overall efficiency. Third, we will integrate with the main social networking providers, because clothing is very suitable for operation on such channels. From the point of view of the distribution of businesses, 18 years, with the upgrading of our platform products and systems, the overall healthy operation of businesses is promoted, and we will continue to strengthen this aspect in 2019. Xu Lei said.

    In December last year, Jingdong launched a new round of organizational restructuring. Xu Lei, a Jingdong retail group CEO, led the core executives of Jingdong mall, and established the new business philosophy of Jingdong Mall: trust based and customer centered value creation. Among them, Hu Shengli led the newly established fashion home platform business group, focusing on the development of POP based open platform development, mainly covering several major plates, such as clothing, beauty, home, sports, etc. According to Jingdong's earnings report, as of December 31, 2018, the number of contracted businesses on Jingdong's third party platform exceeded 210 thousand, indirectly boosting more than ten million employees. It can be seen that the significance of the development of platform businesses is obvious.

    As an important member of China's luxury industry, Jingdong has also entered into direct cooperation with a large number of luxury brands, covering the whole process of customer service to logistics through luxury stores and "Jing Zun Da" white gloves. There are even many luxury brands that have chosen Jingdong as the first partner in China. Last year alone, Italy brand SALVATORE FERRAGAMO, CANALI, Spain jewelry brand ARTE, American fashion brand DKNY, LVMH group's top French jewelry brand FRED, Ruyi holdings's Gieves & Hawkes, KENT&CURWEN, CERRUTI 1881, four men's wear brands and famous luxury brands, and British brands such as the world famous luxury group or brand have entered Jingdong's main station or Jingdong's global fashion luxury brand licensing platform.

    In 2018, another remarkable achievement of Jingdong was that it has been making a lot of breakthroughs in the field of fashion. In March 2018, Jingdong joined the designer of the 2018 BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund, the designer Huishan Zhang, Le Kilt and Rejina Pyo in Shanghai to hold the 2018 autumn and winter fashion new release show, and combined with China's top fashion designer Chen Xuzhi, Wang Hai Zhen and Lucien Wang to create "design quality" static exhibition. During the 2019 spring summer London Fashion Week in September of the same year, Jingdong fashion joined hands with talented Chinese designers Zhang Huishan, Li Xiao and Chen Xuzhi for the 2019 spring and summer fashion show and static exhibition respectively. Recently, the Jingdong signed a three year strategic cooperation agreement with the British Fashion Association (BFC), announcing that it became the only retail partner in London Fashion Week (including the electricity supplier) and set off a heat wave in the international fashion circle.

    In the future, how to continue to create value for brands, third party businesses and consumers on the platform will surely become the top priority of Jingdong in 2019. Xu Lei emphasized that Jingdong mall will upgrade its strategic position and design in three aspects of business mode, business chain and target users this year. It will match the strategy with the strategy at the organizational and operational level, so as to achieve the quality growth of various businesses, thereby creating a model for the growth of Jingdong retail group.
