Release the first report on Sustainable Development

Strengthen communication with multi stakeholder

In 2018, the CV alliance sustainable development report was jointly prepared by the China Federation of textile industry social responsibility office and the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association.

The report discloses the development status of China's regenerated cellulose fiber industry in 2018, describes in detail the CV alliance's sustainable development governance mode and the progress and practice of the industry's economy, environment and social responsibility, and puts forward the sustainable development plan and path.

CV alliance is a public organization dedicated to promoting the sustainable development of China's regenerated cellulosic fiber industry. It was founded in March 2018 by the leading enterprise of regenerated cellulose fiber.

The alliance is responsible for opening up the responsible supply chain system from "woodland to fashion", and is committed to reducing the environmental impact of the regenerated cellulose fiber industry and the whole life cycle, so as to shoulder more social responsibilities for the "green water and green hills" construction in the whole society.

The 2018 sustainability report covers 14 member units.

Since its inception, the CV alliance has made unremitting efforts to enhance the level of green and sustainable development of the industry, and has drawn up a sustainable development goal for the regenerated cellulose fiber industry through the formulation of the "alliance roadmap".

Alliance member enterprises have launched a number of special projects for sustainable development according to the requirements of the alliance roadmap.

At the same time, the CV alliance has set up an industry information release platform, a green industrial chain sharing platform, a sustainable development management platform, and an energy saving and emission reduction technology extension platform by issuing the three year action plan for green development of the regenerated cellulose fiber industry, so as to support the green and sustainable development of the industry.

Duan Xiaoping, vice president of China Textile Industry Federation and President of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, said in his speech that the CV alliance aims to continuously promote the level of green and sustainable development of the industry, and hopes and demands that every member of the alliance can become a responsible enterprise, which means that enterprises should do something in terms of raw material sources, processing process and product attributes.

The CV alliance has formulated and released an alliance roadmap to set goals for future sustainable development.

As a representative of alliance social responsibility and relationship, Yan Yan, director of the office of social responsibility of China Textile Industry Federation, introduced the key contents of the 2018 CV alliance's sustainable development report.

According to the report, the report reveals 9 core performance indicators in 3 dimensions of society, economy and environment, including 2 economic indicators, 3 environmental indicators and 4 social indicators.

To ensure the objectivity of the report, the report is examined by the third party TUV company.

The report also compares the evaluation index system of cleaner production of regenerated cellulose fiber manufacturing (viscose method) with EU-bat (the best feasible technology of EU). The comparison results show that, on the one hand, the overlap of two standard characteristic index values is high, which shows that there is a basic consensus on global environmental performance management in the whole world. On the other hand, the consistency of the key indicators of the two standards is strong, which shows that the sustainable development performance required by the alliance standard system is basically consistent with the international requirements.

With the release of the first report on sustainable development, CV alliance will further strengthen information disclosure to the whole society, strive to enhance pparency in the industry, strengthen communication with multiple stakeholders, and promote joint governance with multi stakeholder.

"In order to enhance the horizontal comparability of CV alliance data, the alliance has begun to compile statistical standards (Alliance methodology). Regenerated cellulose fiber is one of the most important raw materials for spinning enterprises.

In particular, regenerated cellulose staple fiber has been widely used by spinning enterprises, and has developed varieties of yarn, widely used in clothing, home textiles and other products.

At present, 142 cotton textile enterprises have responded to the "responsibility for nature commitment - from woodland to fashion" responsible reclaimed cellulose fiber industry chain action initiative.

On the release show, the CV alliance held the awarding ceremony for the first cotton textile enterprises to participate in the yarn exhibition.

According to statistics, in 2018, the output of regenerated cellulose staple fibers in China reached 3 million 660 thousand tons, which exceeded 2/3 of the total output of regenerated cellulose staple fibers worldwide.
