Chen Dapeng: The Closing Speech Of CHIC 2019 China Fashion Forum
Good afternoon, everyone, entrepreneurs, experts and colleagues.
The two day's 2019 China clothing forum is drawing to a close. Over two days, more than 50 industry, cross border experts, scholars, entrepreneurs and designers around the theme of this year's forum have deeply exchanged their understanding, thinking and innovative practice experience for the development of China's garment industry in the new era.
The two day conference hall is full of the light of thought and the inspiration and strength of industrial innovation and development.
Here, on behalf of the forum organizers, on behalf of the China Fashion Association, I would like to thank all the speakers for two days, thank you for your insights and wisdom, and at the same time, I would like to thank our team for their hard work and dedication to the forum. Thank you for your recognition, support and sincere participation in the Chinese fashion forum.

I have gained a lot from myself.
Two days, in listening to the exchange of experts and entrepreneurs, there is always a word in my mind, the word "ability".
I think China's garment industry has gone through 40 years of reform and opening up to the present. The endowments, conditions and environment that we used to rely on have changed dramatically, facing the new round.
Technological revolution
With the acceleration of the consumption revolution and the great changes in the past 100 years, our industry is going to realize the leap of innovation and achieve the high quality development. I think we need to constantly improve the three capabilities: first, the ability of technological innovation, the two is the ability of cultural creation, and the three is the ability of sustainable development.
First is technology.
Today, digital technology is rapidly and comprehensively penetrated into the production, management and exchange process of our industry, from consumer perception, interaction with consumers, to creative design, product development, to flexibility, intelligent manufacturing, and management, marketing and service.
Consumer centric and digitally driven new industrial value ecology is also being rapidly constructed. All enterprises, regardless of size or form, need to think about what kind of technology endowments and capabilities are in the position of such a new value ecosystem, and technological innovation capability has become an ecological condition for industrial development.
At the same time, new technology is breaking the original industry boundaries and professional boundaries, breaking the original industrial chain and supply chain. In such a digital economic era, collaborative innovation, platform, and ecological thinking, ideas and capabilities will become an important condition for adapting to new development. New development models and new industry leaders will also emerge and emerge in the combination of industry and new technologies.
Clothing, in the final analysis, is the carrier of culture and the expression and pursuit of a better life. Our industry is both a material creation and a spiritual creation of culture. Compared with the fashion powers in the world, our biggest difference is cultural creativity and cultural creation. Today's consumption change is not only for consumers' demand for higher quality material, but also for higher aesthetic cultural needs. Our insight into contemporary lifestyle changes, the absorption and application of the world's multiculturalism, the contemporary expression of Chinese excellent culture, and the embodiment and construction of Chinese fashion culture attitudes and claims all require our cultural creativity. Design creativity and cultural creativity have become an important force in our brand pformation and innovation to drive market growth. Today, if we say that the progress of science and technology is changing the form of industry, then culture and cultural creation need to endow the industry with new connotation and value in such a pformation. As Gustave Flaubert, a French writer, said, "science and art break up at the foot of the mountain and meet again on the top of the mountain." As an innovative industry embodying human technological progress, cultural creativity and changes in the times, technology and culture must be the two most important support for the garment industry to go to the high end in the new development period.
I think no matter how times change, Garment industry As a basic consumer goods industry, providing consumers with the best products and services is always the root of the industry. The innovation and iteration ability of products and services will always be an important manifestation of the core competitiveness, competitiveness and sustainable development of an enterprise. The sustainable development ability of enterprises also depends on the organizational innovation ability of enterprises and the construction of enterprise culture system, as well as the development concept, values, entrepreneurs' mind and humanistic feelings. Products have quality, enterprises have moral character. Especially in such a fast changing era, are we willing to slow down and revisit the original mind, sincere creation and tranquility. The brand's continuous innovation power does not come from temporary inspiration, but from the accumulation and precipitation of creativity and ingenuity. Yesterday, Mr. Sun's keynote speech finally quoted a sentence, saying that the most important thing in shipbuilding is the longing for the vast sea. I also think of another paragraph: a mother told another mother that we want our children to build the strongest ships, not to allow them to go farther, but to let them return when they want to come back.
