The 125th China Import and Export Fair (hereinafter referred to as the "Canton Fair") came to a close yesterday.
The Canton Fair is divided into three phases, with 25 thousand and 500 exhibitors, and over 213 purchasers from 213 countries came to negotiate. Finally, the total export turnover was 199 billion 524 million yuan, or 29 billion 730 million US dollars, 1.1% lower than that of the spring fair in 2018.

Data show that the turnover of the 20% booth brand exhibition area reached 28.8% of the total turnover, and the total export turnover of mechanical and electrical products reached 16 billion US dollars, and new buyers accounted for 42.15% of the total number of buyers.
As a barometer of foreign trade, the new features of the Canton fair show that China's exports are moving from "win the price" to "win by quality".
Data show that the textile and apparel trade in this Canton Fair reached 1 billion 620 million dollars, accounting for 5.4% of the total turnover, representing an increase of 200 million US dollars over the same period last year.
Among them, many channels reduce costs, enhance R & D design, and companies with independent brands have an advantage.
The red bean group is an example.
Through research and development, the group has introduced a series of regenerated fiber fabrics, including cold sensitive, wrinkle resistant and waterproof fabrics and clothes. It has been recognized by ZARA and other international brands, and has gained a lot in the Canton Fair.
The head of the planning department of the Ministry of foreign affairs of the group's subsidiary company told the Shanghai Daily: "at present, we already have a mature outsourcing plant in Kampuchea, which produces 700 thousand sets of children's wear suits exported to the UK annually."
Shandong's infant clothing enterprise Zhaoyuan ruwa registered "FLYBYFLY" trademark, through 10 years of cultivation, now in Norway, the United Kingdom and other stores have opened, achieved one hundred percent independent brand export.
In the past, light industrial products such as clothing, bags, food and so on were low in technology and famous for their price advantages. Nowadays, these light industrial products are also added to science and technology elements and have more functional characteristics.
A luggage manufacturer in Guangzhou, in order to meet the current consumption demand, has developed and produced bags with USB charging interface and solar energy charging, and has registered patents, and is also popular in the Canton Fair.
Xu Bing, Deputy Secretary General of the Canton Fair and deputy director of the China Foreign Trade Center, said that under the environment of more complex and severe foreign trade environment, the participating enterprises have made positive progress in the development of high quality, and the new advantages of international competition are accelerating.
