Vietnamese Textile Industry Is Trying To Find New Export Market.

According to the information released by the Ministry of Commerce and industry in Vietnam, the export of textile and garment industry has increased significantly in the month of 2019 (1-5), reaching 9 billion 430 million US dollars, up 9.8% over the same period (2018). Among them, the growth of garments was 8.8%, the growth of fabrics for natural fibers was 3.9%, the growth of man made fabrics was 19.5%, and the growth of casual clothes was 8.7%. The Ministry estimated that the total export volume of textile garments in 2019 will reach US $40 billion, up 14-15% over the previous year.

According to the view of Le Tien Truong, general manager of Viet Nam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) group, Vietnam textile garment industry, Vietnam's garment industry continues to grow, and orders for 1-5 months of this year have grown longer than the same period of the previous year. Truong also stressed that textile companies are looking for new markets. In May of this year, Vinatex and 10 other large enterprises were sent to Canada for sale. Canada is also a member of the Pacific progressive partnership agreement (CPTPP).

However, Vietnam's textile and garment industry has gradually brought many challenges, such as the challenge from other competitors. Therefore, we must improve technology and innovation, save energy and improve productivity. In addition, we need to use AI, robotics and big data.
