It is worth noting that the research results show that the total county economy in China amounted to 39 trillion and 100 billion yuan, accounting for about 41% of the country's total.

The list of China's top 100 counties in 2019 showed that Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang The three provinces were eye-catching, accounting for 26 seats, 19 seats and 18 seats respectively.

The study found that 100 counties developed bright, less than 2% of the country's land, 7% of the population, created 25% of the county GDP, 10% of the national GDP;

The main driving force for the development of 100 strong counties is the second industry, and the added value of the second industry is 5 trillion and 30 billion yuan, accounting for 52.4%.

The consumption demand of 100 strong counties is strong, and the retail sales of per capita social consumer goods are 72% higher than the national average level.

Five important characteristics of 100 strong counties

1, 100 strong counties, East, West, and strong counties, balanced and full development is the main theme of county economic development.

The region is uneven and the East is dominant. The eastern part of the 100 strong counties accounted for 71 seats, the central region occupied 19 seats, the western region accounted for 7 seats, and the northeast region had 3 seats.

Compared with 2018, the seats in the eastern region decreased by 3, the central region increased by 3 seats, the western region reduced by 1 seats, and the northeast region increased by 1 seats. The rise of central China and the revitalization and development of Northeast China have achieved initial success.

2, 100 strong counties are outstanding in their strength, and the second production drive. Improving the quality of the supply system is the main direction of county economic development.

The main driving force for the development of 100 strong counties is the second industry. The added value of the second industry is 5 trillion and 30 billion yuan, accounting for 52.4%, which is 11.7 percentage points higher than the national average. The top priority of the development of 100 counties is to reduce the ineffective supply of second industries, expand effective supply, improve the quality of the second industry's overall supply system, and improve the adaptability of supply structure to demand structure.

3. 100 strong counties are in the late stage of industrialization. Technological innovation has become a strategic support for the development of county economy.

The per capita GDP of 100 strong counties is 101 thousand yuan, second only to Jiangsu, far exceeding developed provinces such as Guangdong and Shandong and the national average level.

From the perspective of industrial structure, the three industrial structure of 100 strong counties is <10% value added to the primary industry, and the proportion of second industries and third industries is also in the late stage of industrialization.

How to guide China's counties from labor and capital intensive industries to technology intensive industries, and then to knowledge intensive industries, are the opportunities that China's counties should seize in the new situation in the late industrialization stage.

4, 100 strong counties initially get rid of investment dependence, and "three carriages" coordinated drive has become an important trend of county economic development.

In 2018, the total investment in fixed assets of 100 strong counties was 5 trillion and 240 billion yuan, accounting for 54.7% of the gross domestic product, which was lower than the national average level (71.7%).

Among the top 100 counties, the proportion of fixed assets investment in 7 counties accounted for more than 100% of GDP, 51 counties were between 50%-100, and 42 counties were between 50%-100, indicating that 100 strong counties initially abandoned investment dependence and shifted to the economic structure of investment, consumption and export coordination.

5, 100 strong county consumption is strong, element adsorption ability is strong, enriching people and strong counties at the same time become the realistic target of county economic development.

The consumption power of 100 strong counties is far higher than the national average level. The urban residents (44 thousand yuan) and the rural residents' disposable income (23 thousand yuan) and the retail sales per capita (34 thousand yuan) of the 100 strong counties were 12%, 61% and 72% higher than the national average respectively, which fully reflected the efforts and achievements of the hundred counties in improving the living standard of the residents.

100 strong counties have significantly improved their ability to attract funds and population. The balance of foreign currency deposits of financial institutions in 100 strong counties is 9 trillion and 900 billion yuan, which is equivalent to that of Shandong province. This shows that the ability of the county economy to attract funds has reached a certain level.

The higher the population density of the counties in the top 100 counties, the stronger the ability to gather the population.
