The Twentieth China Textile And Clothing Trade Exhibition Opens In New York, USA

The twentieth China Textile and clothing trade exhibition (New York) opened in New York, USA on 22.


In the opening speech, Xu Yingxin, vice president of the China Federation of textile industry and chairman of the textile industry branch of the China Council for the promotion of international trade, said that in 2018, China's fiber processing volume was about 54 million 600 thousand tons, accounting for more than half of the world's total, and China's textile and clothing exports amounted to US $276 billion 730 million, accounting for more than 36% of the world's total. China's textile industry has formed the largest and most complete industrial system in the world.


Xu Yingxin said that under the background of Sino US trade friction, the holding of this exhibition on schedule is of far-reaching significance for further cooperation between the two industries. Both China and the US are major producers and consumers of textile production. They have important common interests and cooperation space. I believe this exhibition can inject more positive energy into Sino US industrial cooperation.


Gu Chunfang, an economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Consulate General in New York, said that in the past 20 years, the China Textile and clothing trade exhibition (New York) witnessed the rapid development of Sino US textile and clothing trade, and also injected vitality into Sino US bilateral economic and trade relations. Maintaining and developing stable and healthy economic and trade cooperation between the two countries is the aspiration of all sectors of society in China and the United States, especially in the industrial and commercial circles.


Detlef Braun, executive director of Frankfurt exhibition company, said that as the largest textile and clothing exhibition in the United States, it is hoped that the exhibition will continue to be the preferred platform for international brands and retailers to seek procurement opportunities.


The exhibition will be held for 3 days, sponsored by the China Federation of textile industry. The textile industry association of China Council for the promotion of international trade co organized with the Frankfurt Exhibition (US) company. More than 800 enterprises from 17 countries and regions participate in the exhibition, of which China has as many as 545 exhibitors.
