Us: Cotton Spot Price Rises, China Starts Inquiry Price

On the 6-12 th of September 2019, the average price of the seven standard market spots in the United States was 55.97 cents / pound, up 1.36 cents / pound from the previous week, down 23.01 cents / pound compared with the same period last year. In the week, seven major markets in the US traded 25783 bags, and the total turnover was 64228 packages this year.

US domestic spot prices rose, and new cotton export prices in Texas were acceptable. The demand in China, Pakistan and Taiwan in China was the best. Foreign enquiries in western desert areas and San covenant districts were light, most factories kept a wait-and-see view of the US cotton, the price of Pima cotton was stable, and enquiries were cheap abroad, and cotton traders were busy maintaining pre contract.

During the week, the domestic textile mills made light enquiries, and most of the raw material stocks remained until the 4 quarter of this year, and the demand for air spinning and ring spinning was normal. US cotton export demand is general. China FTA and India have an inquiry on the recent shipment of grade 31-3-36 green card cotton. Pakistan has an inquiry for the latest shipment of grade 5 cotton.
