Donghua University Sun Yize Team To Build Textile Machinery "Special Forces"

The pace of human exploration of the unknown world has never stopped, up to the universe, down to the sea, but everything that human beings can explore is the place where dreams are opened. With the improvement of China's comprehensive national strength, the maintenance of marine rights and interests and space rights and interests has produced a series of outstanding achievements: China's independent research and development aircraft carrier officially launched; "dragon dragon" completed the record of the submersible 7062 meters deep manned submarine record in Mariana Trench, creating the world's largest diving depth record of the same kind of operation submersible.

Behind these important achievements are the silent dedication of the Donghua people. A few days ago, Sun Yize, the two prize winner of the national science and technology progress award 2018, and the professor of the school of mechanical engineering, Donghua University, and the team of Professor Sun Yize, participated in the twenty-first China International Industrial Expo with the award-winning project "high performance special braiding technology and equipment".

Special rope weaving knitted special soldier

People used to record things before they invented words. Remember, bind, hang things... With the development and comprehensive application of the technology of material, knitting technology and equipment, the traditional rope has evolved into a high performance special woven fabric, which has become the last rescue rope of the "dragon" manned submersible. The "science" ship's deep-sea number is based on the real-time transmission of "communication soldiers", the dependence of a certain type of carrier mooring and anchoring, and also escort the ocean mobile radar station and the 981 series of drilling platforms to provide camouflage and maintenance for China's offshore monitoring and marine homeland security.

High performance special knitted fabric is a kind of rope, belt, net and tube knitted fabric made of high performance fiber by special braiding technology and equipment. It is a special product of national strategy and important people's livelihood for aerospace, defense, military and marine development. And such a key product has enormous technical difficulty in development and production.

Aiming at the precise forming requirements of high performance special knitted fabrics, Sun Yize team has worked closely with industry leading enterprises to carry out scientific research in recent ten years, and finally formed the theory of digital design and precise forming of special braided fabrics. The automatic knitted technology of multi type special knitted fabrics such as jointless buckle rope, multi-layer composite rope, special pipe braided fabric and so on were put forward. Five kinds of special braiding machines were developed, which realized precise control of forming process parameters, precise molding and high performance. It filled many gaps at home and abroad, and met many important demands of China's sophisticated national defense and important livelihood areas.

"Doing research should be my greatest interest."

The school of mechanical engineering is one of the three major departments in the early days of Donghua University, and has a long history of running a school. In 2003, when Sun Yize came to Donghua University to be a leader in the subject of mechanical electronics engineering, he realized that he must never break away from the textile characteristics of the school, so he joined the team in the field of textile machinery and industrial textiles.

"To tell you the truth, I have little interest. Doing research is my greatest interest." Even though everyone else is busy with all kinds of holiday revelry, Sun Yize's team is still working overtime silently. In his mind, the most important thing to bring a team is the loyalty and persistence of the whole team. For example, the team had long been unable to solve the problem in the study of carbon fiber composite large structure preform, and it took a year before solving the problem, but it never affected the determination and confidence of everyone to do well and succeed.

It is precisely this belief and spirit that supports the team in the road of scientific research.
