Our country produces about 20 million tons of waste textiles every year. How to carry out the high value waste spinning and weaving has become an important topic in the environmental protection industry. Recently, the seminar on "sorting and disposal of waste and recycling of waste textiles" was held in Guiyang, China's Recycling Resource Recycling Association. Pan Yonggang, vice president and Secretary General of China Renewable Resources Recycling Association, believes that the potential of the future textile market is huge, and the favorable policies can be expected.

The white paper on the progress of recycling technology of waste textiles in China released during the symposium pointed out that China consumes 35 million tons of textile fiber annually, and 20 million tons of waste textiles can be produced every year.

It is understood that at present, the recycling of waste textiles can be roughly divided into government supported models of waste clothes recycling boxes, spontaneous recovery of non-governmental organizations, independent recycling of brand clothing enterprises, and recovery of public welfare organizations. The recycling rate of waste textiles in China is less than 20%.

"At present, the state vigorously promotes garbage sorting work, which provides a greater opportunity for resource utilization of waste spinning." Pan Yonggang said that 29 cities in 46 key cities of garbage classification have made clear the punishment of illegal garbage disposal, and the legislative process of garbage classification is accelerating. At the same time, some local administrative departments have listed waste textiles and scrap metal, waste plastics, waste paper and waste glass as the main recyclable items, and have clearly classified standards.

"Different textile fabrics can be recovered when recycling, but how to classify and use them is very difficult." Ma Rong, former deputy director of the national development and Reform Commission, said that at present, China's garbage recycling industry still has problems such as imperfect laws and regulations, unclear recycling mode, and lack of effective supervision. Meanwhile, public awareness and education for environmental protection need to be improved.

"Waste spinning and utilization, market ahead." With the improvement of people's living standards, more and more waste textile products are produced. Some experts believe that the development of waste textile and textile products should be developed, and the export of commodities at the rear must be opened up. If the enterprises have the profitability to survive and develop, the process of environmental protection can be better promoted accordingly.

Pan Yonggang believes that the recycling of waste spinning to become a health industry needs technical upgrading, equipment upgrading and standard improvement, and more policy support is needed in the use of waste spinning and recycled products to promote the efficiency of the industry.

In order to promote the sustainable development of the industry, the enterprises of recycling and resource utilization should not only increase efficiency but also reduce input costs. Liu Jianguo, Professor of environmental science, Tsinghua University, pointed out that improving industrial agglomeration, expanding the industrial chain and upgrading the quality of recycled products are the inevitable choices for the transformation and upgrading of industries in the field of environmental protection.
