HUAWEI Signed A Memorandum Of Understanding On Cooperation With 5G

On October 12th, according to foreign media reports, HUAWEI Korea Companies said it had signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with KBIZ Korean broadcasting and communication industry co operatives to establish a 5G ecosystem.

It is reported that HUAWEI Korea Companies and KBIZ Korea radio and telecommunications industry cooperation will provide a test platform for Korean domestic SMEs and start-ups, and hold 5G technology related lectures and seminars. Cooperative members can test new services in HUAWEI 5G open laboratory. The laboratory is located in the Central District of Seoul.

According to media reports, in May this year, there were media reports that HUAWEI launched low-key in South Korea to build an open laboratory for the next generation of 5G wireless network. The report also pointed out that HUAWEI plans to invest about 5 million dollars for the laboratory.

On the fifth HUAWEI Asia Pacific innovation day held in September this year, HUAWEI announced that it has received more than 50 5G commercial contracts worldwide, and that the number of 5G base stations shipped exceeds 200 thousand. Among them, 28 came from Europe, 11 from the Middle East, 6 from the Asia Pacific region, 4 from the Americas, and 1 from Africa.
