Chip and AI play the leading role.
From the "black technology" released this year, chips, AI, 5G and other fields account for the highest proportion. In addition, cloud computing, digital manufacturing and industrial Internet have also been selected.
The proportion of the chip platform is higher than in previous years, with 5 seats occupying 1/3 of the scientific and technological achievements. They are HUAWEI's server chip Kun Peng 920, universal heterogeneous artificial intelligence fusion chip, Tesla fully automatic driving chip, Cambrian cloud AI chip, Si yuan 270 and Xilinx Versal adaptive computing acceleration platform.
Among them, there are three chips in Chinese enterprises, such as the Kun Peng 920 processor compatible with the Arm architecture. It is the server chip that HUAWEI has been laying for many years. It is regarded as a competitive product of the Intel x86 architecture server chip by the industry. According to HUAWEI's introduction, under the typical main frequency, HUAWEI Kun Peng 920 SPECint _rate_base2006 score is over 930, 25% higher than the mainstream processor in the industry. Kun Peng 920 has the advantage of high throughput. Compared with the mainstream processors in the industry, its memory bandwidth is 60% higher.
Hou Jinlong, President of HUAWEI Cloud & AI products and services, said: "the processor is the foundation of the whole computing industry. HUAWEI has invested in R & D the first embedded processing chip since 2004. After 15 years, it has invested more than 20 thousand engineers, and has formed the core chip family based on" Kun Peng + rising ". HUAWEI will continue to invest in chips according to the rhythm of "mass production, research and development, generation planning".
In an interview with the twenty-first Century economic report, Hou Jinlong said: "in the next 5 years, HUAWEI plans to invest 3 billion to build the entire Kun Peng industry, and plan to launch a generation system in one year."
Tsinghua University's sky chip has the core architecture of computing storage integration and de centralization. It not only supports the independent deployment of computer science oriented machine learning algorithm and neuroscience oriented neural morphological computing model, but also supports the heterogeneous modeling of both, providing a new computing platform for developing AI. In addition, the related papers of sky chip have also been published on the cover of academic magazine "Nature" this year.
Let's look at the Cambrian AI chip, and think yuan 270 uses TSMC 16nm process technology. The peak performance of the dense machine learning model is increased by 4 times that of the 100 generation, reaching 128 trillion times (INT8). Xilinx's Versal platform provides AI reasoning support for cloud, edge and end. The Cambrian AI chip Si yuan 270 is used in the cloud. So far, the AI layout of the cloud side has been completed in the Cambrian era. The sky chip is also facing the AI scene, providing heterogeneous computing power.
In addition to artificial intelligence on chips, there are AI systems and applications in the awards, such as Baidu's flying paddle, open algorithm platform, AI innovation of intelligent enterprises and Microsoft training model. It can be seen that AI related technologies account for half of the technological achievements, and giant companies and start-ups are competing for it.
Focus on the underlying technology
