Canada'S High-End Outdoor Brand Canada Goose Innovation Laboratory First Launched
Canada's high-end outdoor brand Canada Goose (Canada goose) is catering to the growing trend of customization. Now consumers can match their Canada Goose coat with a personalized hat collar.
Canada Goose has launched a new service, offering four different custom hat caps for six coats. These four kinds of hat caps include: warm, reflective, warm, lightweight and warm.
Each hat collar has its own performance advantages:
The thermal cap collar combines Arctic Tech fabric and feather insulation material, which can provide a warm and soft effect.
The reflective and heat retaining hat collar also uses Arctic Tech fabric, and two reflective strips are added to ensure the wearer's safety under low visibility conditions.
The lightweight heat retaining hat collar uses high quality nylon and lighter feather filling, which is more breathable and lighter.
Fur hat collar has the best cold proof effect, suitable for the coldest environment.
These four custom hat caps apply to the following six coats: Chelsea, Wyndham, Carson, Rossclair and Chiliwack for men and women.
These new custom hat caps are now on shelves in some Canadian goose shops, including Short Hills, Montreal, Edmonton, Minneapolis, Chicago and London stores.
This hat collar customization program is the first batch of Canada Goose innovation laboratory, located at Canada Goose headquarters in Toronto, led by the group's senior vice president, Spencer Orr. He was responsible for the design of HyBridge Lite Jacket in 2012 to win the outdoor magazine Outside Magazine's "Gear of the Year Award (best outdoor equipment Award)".
Although the hat collar customization program seems to be a low tech innovation, Canada Goose said it was only a start. In the future, the lab will focus on developing more innovative projects, such as finding new technologies and methods to create innovative fabrics and materials. At present, Canada Goose is recruiting more technology and management talents for the innovation laboratory.
In August of this year, Canada Goose released the key financial data for the first quarter of fiscal year 2020 (as of June 30th this year). With the strong promotion of direct selling and wholesale channels, the net sales of Canada Goose increased 59.1% to 71 million 100 thousand Canadian dollars in the quarter, up 58.6% over the same period.
