Tencent And Burberry Will Work Together To Open Stores.
According to foreign media reports, Tencent will cooperate with the British luxury group Burberry in the field of luxury goods.
According to the briefing, the two sides will jointly set up Burberry stores and provide technical support from Tencent. The store will provide a unique experience linking the social and online life of luxury consumers to their natural environment.
According to the first quarter results released by Burberry in July, group income increased by 4% to 498 million pounds over the three months to June 29th, reaching two times the expected growth of analysts. Among them, sales in the Asia Pacific region also recorded a high digit growth rate, mainly driven by an increase of 15% in Chinese market sales.
Related media noted that Burberry CEO Marco Gobbetti said in the earnings report that the growth of performance was mainly due to the product of the new creative director Riccardo Tisci, and the promotion of the Chinese market.
In addition, the company's chief financial officer and chief operating officer, Julie Brown, also said in the earnings call conference that Burberry continues to attract the attention of local young consumers through the three party cooperation channels of social media such as WeChat and Tmall. This also has a positive impact on the growth of the first quarter of the brand's performance.
