Electric cars are not far from "spring".
Wu Yingqiu: China's electric vehicle market has been declining for 4 consecutive months. What time do you think China's electric vehicle market will recover?
Wang Binggang: if a product is subsidized for more than ten years, it will not work. I think this product is not yet ready. In fact, subsidies will have to be refunded at a certain time. Only in this way can we restore the true face of the market. Even if the new energy vehicle is sliding, we must insist on removing the subsidy.
But not without subsidies, there is no incentive policy. The government is still making many incentive policies. After the subsidy is removed, which enterprises can stand and which city can stand, it is a real skill. Overall, I still have confidence in the electric vehicle market.
He Xiaopeng: winter has arrived, and the duration of winter is longer than expected. We think that there will be at least 12 months in the future.
However, we must see the coming of winter and see that spring is not far away. When spring comes, there will be better opportunities for development. From another perspective, I saw that the sales of electric vehicles more than 150 thousand yuan sold to consumers in China grew by 500% in the first half of the year, and over 200% in the second half of the year.
Xiao Yong: at present, pure electric vehicles are guided by the price system, and the operation of enterprises must be considered within a certain cost range. As a pure electric vehicle enterprise, if we want to break even, we need enough sales scale. GAC new energy sales this year, 40 thousand units is no problem, in 2020, we think the market will be very difficult, but GAC new energy stepped on the rhythm, products are upgrading.
Wu Yingqiu: what are the current challenges faced by electric vehicle enterprises?
He Xiaopeng: for the new car manufacturers, the delivery process of tens of thousands of ten thousand units is very painful. The delivery of tens of thousands of units per year can not make profits. From now on, at least one hundred thousand or even tens of thousands of units will be able to achieve this. This is an enterprise that has done a very good job and a brand has done a good job. The strong competition in 2020 and 2021 has just arrived. If the ammunition with no scale and no winter is hard to get value in the next round of competition, this is a challenge for many of our new car manufacturers.
Xiao Yong: in the future competition, it should be competition between technology and cost. Technology makes our products more attractive, so that customers of traditional fuel cars can be attracted. Consumers are changing. From 70 to 80 and after 80 to 90 and 00, what attracts them is the charm of technology. Smart phones can replace the traditional mobile phone's biggest competitiveness is its charm, smart phones are much more expensive than traditional phones, but they still grow up. This shows that the charm of technology can not be resisted. When everyone is attractive, it depends on whose cost is more advantageous.
Intelligent + electric, how to change the future?
Wu Yingqiu: Automotive electrification and intellectualization are promoting the development of the industry. Some people will combine the two, and think that intelligent electric vehicle is the ultimate trend. What do you think of it?
He Xiaopeng: from a certain point of view, before the "four modernizations" (electric, intelligent, networking and sharing) all met challenges today. From the perspective of trend, I think it is possible for us to combine the four modernizations together. It may not be a chance to use it simply. This is my first impression after I have been doing the car for a while. The new car manufacturers need to take a different angle. In the middle, middle and high-end, they should scale up the enterprises, do well in the quality, plus the differences in technology empowerment, so that they can be completely different from the original logic of price competition.
Xiao Yong: I am full of confidence in pure electric vehicles and intelligent pure electric vehicles. This is the general trend. I think that through our efforts, including upstream and downstream integration, horizontal integration and integration of various directions, we can make the momentum and progress faster.
Now the traditional fuel car is still a huge force, or even 90% of the market. Now it's too much to talk about subversion, but the industry has reached the eve of great changes, and we are quietly accumulating and responding, waiting for the outbreak to come.
Wu Xuebin: because I have done the development of electric vehicle, and I am doing intelligent development. I think the electric vehicle may be more rigid to the intellectualization than the traditional vehicle. The two technologies of electric cars and intellectualization are in full swing in China. They are the busiest market in the world. These two technologies can give China's own brand products a shot in the arm.
I think there are two characteristics in the automotive industry. First of all, the fluctuation of car market in automobile industry is normal. Now it is so, and so will the future. Many car companies are accustomed to the rapid growth in the past decades, and are not used to pause. Second, technically speaking, I think the automobile industry is not the undertaker of original technology, it is a popularizing technology popularist. Because for the automotive industry, cost and safety are very important.
Shen Ziyu: smart electric cars can make my AI network always online and always serve. Traditional cars, when people leave, have no electricity and need to make great changes to wake up the electricity. Therefore, the future experience of intelligent electric vehicle will bring about changes in the market, which is the direction of our thinking.
Fundamentally speaking, the fundamental problem to be solved is whether the intelligent electric vehicle or the intelligent network union vehicle is the problem of product and user perception. From the product itself, products can bring different experience and value to customers, and products will be competitive.
Pan Jiahua: I am not quite the same as you all. Compared with new energy vehicles, I prefer to call them electric cars. When we call the new energy vehicle, it is easy to note that it is only an alternative to gasoline. Electric vehicles are all electric, not just the energy itself, but the whole electric drive of the electronic structure of the entire vehicle.
In our eyes, traditional fuel cars and electric cars, like analog phones and digital telephones, can add new intelligence and ecology to analog phones, but there is an upper limit. I strongly believe that the new electric vehicle architecture can bring true intelligence, and only intelligent electric is the future.
Wu Yingqiu: how to evaluate Tesla? What do you think of the future of smart electric vehicle?
Wu Xuebin: Internet Federation has arrived. Intelligence will come. Electric power is a supplement. Don't expect today's lithium battery to replace the internal combustion engine.
Shen Ziyu: Tesla has been a global market. It's hard to make a product popular in the global market with different races and races. We are in awe of it, but in China, I still have confidence that I can do better than Tesla.
Pan Jiahua: the system and the vehicle have their own advantages, but the ecosystem and services are unique to Tencent.
He Xiaopeng: to look at a thing can't just look at one point, and do well in intelligence, brand, scale, operation and service. This is the most important thing.
Wang Binggang: the trend of electrodynamics will not change. But the limitation of battery technology, the electric car completely replace the fuel vehicle has a long way to go. We still have to look at the next step of the battery, how to reduce the cost and how to reduce the cost. But I think replacing fuel vehicles in the proper field is now possible.
