2019 Is Going To Be Over. What Is The Status Quo Of Textile And Clothing Export In The First 11 Months?

According to the Customs General Statistics Bulletin, with customs statistics, the export volume of textiles and clothing in November this year amounted to 22 billion 70 million US dollars, down 3.56% compared to the same period last year (1.22% yuan year-on-year in RMB). Among them, exports of textiles amounted to $9 billion 950 million in the month, down 3.08% from the same period (0.69% yuan in the same period last year), and clothing exports amounted to 12 billion 120 million US dollars in the same month, down 3.96% compared with the same period last year (1.64% in the year before RMB).

2019 textile and clothing exports grew by month on year

In the first 11 months of this year, the total export volume of textiles and clothing totaled US $246 billion 880 million, down 2.65% from the same period last year (2.02% in the year over year). Among them, the total export volume of textiles amounted to US $109 billion 260 million and continued to maintain a positive growth since the three quarter, up 0.06% from the same period last year (4.89% in the year over year). The total export volume of clothing was 137 billion 620 million US dollars, down 4.69% compared with the same period last year (0.14% yuan in the same period last year), the decrease was basically the same as in the first three quarters.

Throughout the whole year, the international environment of China's textile industry is becoming more and more complex, and the pressure on garment export is greater. Especially since the Sino US trade friction, the US tariff levy has brought great pressure to our garment enterprises to export to the US. The steady development of China's textile and garment export trade will still face challenges next year.
