    Tencent, Alibaba Go Hand In Hand, Industrial Internet Turns To Ecological Competition

    Donghua software, established in 2001 and listed in Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2006, is an old IT company with nearly 20 years of history and about 10000 employees. It is not short of money, even investors and mergers and acquisitions of many companies. But last year, Donghua software took a strategic investment of 1 billion 266 million yuan from Tencent.

    In Donghua cloud and smart city chairman and CEO Guo Haozhe, this investment is more like two enterprises "marriage certificate", after the "love", the two sides need to establish a closer relationship through certification.

    This is the result of mutual choice between Tencent and Donghua software, which is also a microcosm of the transformation and upgrading of the entire IT industry.

    Recently, Guo Haozhe told reporters in an interview with the economic news reporters in twenty-first Century, "Donghua software has gone through every stage of the development of China's IT industry in the past 20 years. Today, the market demand has undergone tremendous changes. Its upgrading of the underlying technology structure, the demand for computing power, and the appeal to connect users have forced the transformation of enterprises."

    As for how to transform, the answer has also reached a consensus in the industry, which is to integrate into the giant's industrial ecology. At present, the two most important ecological constructors in the market are Ali Yun and Tencent cloud, while Donghua software chooses the latter.

    Guo Haozhe told reporters that Donghua chose Tencent cloud, mainly thinking that Tencent cloud is more suitable for Donghua. "From last year, competition in IT industry has changed from point to point to ecology and ecology. In this process, every ecosystem has to prove that it can really solve user problems by combining itself, rather than combining it better."

    In fact, the ecological industry model is not only the urgent demand of Donghua software, these traditional IT companies, but also an inevitable choice for the Internet giants, such as Alibaba and Tencent, to move from the Internet to the industrial Internet.

    The best path of industrial Internet

    In the past year, no matter to Ali cloud or Tencent cloud, "ecology" is an important key word. Ali Yun built a new global ecological business unit, Tencent cloud set up the cloud Kai Industrial Ecosystem platform. According to the twenty-first Century economic report, although the names of these two new departments are different, they do things very much, they all need to serve their respective ecosystem.

    In September 30th last year, the cloud and intelligent industry group (CGIG) came into being in the new round of organizational restructuring of Tencent. In fact, Tencent cloud business has been doing for many years, so CSIG is not built by Tencent to do B terminal business from 0 to 1. On the contrary, it is the starting point of Tencent B terminal business from 1 to N.

    In December 20th, Tang Daosheng, senior executive vice president of Tencent Inc and President of cloud and intelligent industry group, said in a public speech that reviewing the development of CSIG in the past year can be summed up in two aspects. On the one hand, it is constantly summarizing and focusing on its core strengths, and on the other hand, it is increasing investment in industrial ecology.

    Regarding industrial ecology, Tang Daosheng said Tencent has been very clear about what to do and what not to do. "In the construction of Tencent to B capability system, the most front-end user entry is the advantage of Tencent. In the back-end, Tencent will provide Gong Youyun IaaS platform, PaaS platform, and support platform based on Tencent technology capability."

    But in the field of industry application, that is, SaaS, Tencent should be constructed in an ecological way. This is because every industry needs a long time to accumulate to form a mature application and solution, which is not achieved in the short term of Tencent cloud, so we should give this field to a more professional partner.

    As a member of Tencent's cloud ecology, Chen Zhen, a founder of road and cloud, told the twenty-first Century economic report reporter that in his view, the average output value of 500 thousand yuan or less than 1 million yuan should not be Ali or Tencent. "In the B terminal industry, we need a large number of products with a per capita output value of about 500 thousand. If these are done by ourselves, then the number of their companies may turn from 50 thousand to 500 thousand. This is obviously unrealistic, so they need a lot of partners to make up this product."

    Chen Zhen further said, because To B business is to do all the work well, only a good product or good brand is not enough, but it is impossible to do all the work well and rely on only one enterprise. Therefore, ecological competition is also a natural law, but the original giants did not pay much attention to the market. When they saw the future of the industrial Internet, they began to start the project of ecological construction.

    Guo Haozhe explained the necessity of constructing the ecosystem of Tencent cloud from another angle. He told reporters that, like Donghua software in the medical industry has been doing for nearly 20 years, whether in the accumulation of head users or the understanding of the industry, Tencent wants to have it in the short term is very difficult.

    In its view, "To B and To C are different, To B is more substitutable. In the field of To C, if a product is not good enough, a better Tencent can replace it. But To B is not the case. These users of To B, such as medical users in Donghua, have been serving users for twenty years. All the core scenarios are also running in the core system implemented in Donghua, and users will only believe us.

    Such a competitive barrier created by time is hard to surmount, and in fact there is no need to overstep it. Tang Daosheng said that the success of the industrial Internet is inseparable from the joint efforts of all the participants in the industry and the whole chain. Therefore, CO creating with the partners will be the most important path and the best path for the development of the industrial Internet.

    Tencent's Ecological Tactics

    Although the direction of ecological construction has reached agreement in the industry, different enterprises are also different in specific tactical choices.

    Yun Qi Industrial Ecosystem platform is the bridgehead for Tencent CSIG to build the ecosystem. The platform is connected with partners through industrial ecological investment, industrial accelerator, industrial ecological training, industrial base and so on. Within this platform, the platform can open up Tencent B terminal technology, products and platform capabilities, as well as C end scenario and traffic capacity.

    Zhuang Wenlei, general manager of Tencent cloud strategy investment, said in an interview with the twenty-first Century economic report that most of the partners who used to work with Tencent were often unable to find the right people to meet their demands and find no suitable resources for docking. Even some people did not know what resources Tencent could help.

    Now, Yun Qi Industrial Ecosystem platform will solve the problems that most partners may encounter through a number of products.

    For example, post investment enterprises of Tencent's industrial ecology will be issued a small Handbook, which will give details of what products and business resources can be provided by Tencent CSIG and pan To B business. At the same time, the booklet will also introduce CSIG's related organizational structure and information of the business attribution department, so that they can know who to look for when they need help.

    In addition, Zhuang Wenlei told reporters, "the cloud platform will provide a post investment manager for every post company. His role is like the spokesman of the company in the Tencent, through which he can solve all the problems encountered by the company in connection with Tencent."

    At present, the number of Tencent CSIG partners has exceeded 7000, covering channels, services, consulting, R & D and other fields. If we only look at cloud Kai Industrial Ecosystem platform, link more than 200 ecological partners.

    Tencent CSIG, in accordance with different enterprises, divides the "co creation" of the industrial Internet into three modes: one is the solution of ecological co creation; the other is the ecological integration of technological products; and the three is the joint creation of SaaS ecology. According to Tang Daosheng, in Tencent cloud has over 200 kinds of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS products and more than 90 industry solutions, Yun Kai Industrial Ecosystem platform members involved in the solution of nearly 30%.

    These enterprises integrated into the giant ecosystem, because of gaining more ability to add, their market arena has also become broader. For instance, after integrating its technology capabilities and products into Tencent solutions, its business scale has increased by more than ten times.

    Another example is a cloud, which can now use the Tencent's cloud audio and video capabilities to make small program live broadcast, or use the recognition ability to make the approval of fingerprint identification. With these capabilities, the cloud one can provide more abundant and intelligent SaaS applications.

    Guo Haozhe told reporters that the IT industry ceiling has been broken, and the eco industry model is becoming clearer. Next year, the original companies in the IT industry must have changed dramatically. Many companies will go down in revenue. Only those who are integrated into the ecosystem will be able to go up in revenue.

    At present, China's technology industry is getting rid of the loose state of its respective battalions in the past. It needs to complete a centralized integration in order to have more room for development. This is also the fundamental reason for the attraction between Ali, Tencent and other ecological builders and many partners.
