    National Bureau Of Statistics: In The Fourth Quarter Of 2019, The Utilization Rate Of Industrial Capacity Was 77.5%.

       In the four quarter of 2019, the national industrial capacity utilization rate was 77.5%, an increase of 1.5 percentage points over the same period last year, an increase of 1.1 percentage points over the three quarter. In 2019, the utilization rate of industrial capacity was 76.6%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points over the previous year.

    According to the three categories, the utilization rate of the mining industry in the fourth quarter was 75.1%, 4.9 percentage points higher than that in the same period last year; the utilization rate of manufacturing capacity was 78%, up 1.5 percentage points over the same period last year; the utilization rate of electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry was 73.6%, unchanged from the same period last year.

    According to the main industries, the utilization rate of coal in the fourth quarter, the coal mining and washing industry is 71.5%, the food manufacturing industry is 72.7%, the textile industry is 79.6%, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry is 76%, the non-metallic mineral products industry is 71.2%, the ferrous metal smelting and calender processing industry is 80.2%, the non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry is 79.5%, the general equipment manufacturing industry is 79.5%, the special equipment manufacturing industry is 80.1%, the automobile manufacturing industry is 78.5%, the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry is 79%, and the computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industries are 79%.

    1, Index Interpretation

    Capacity utilization ratio refers to the ratio of actual output to productive capacity (measured in terms of value).

    The actual output of an enterprise refers to the gross industrial output value of the enterprise during the reporting period; the productive capacity of an enterprise refers to the output of the production equipment (machinery) that is maintained normally during the reporting period under the guarantee supply of labor, raw materials, fuel and transportation, and the product output that the enterprise can achieve and maintain for a long time.

    2. Methods and scope of investigation

    A large and medium scale enterprise survey, small and micro enterprises sampling survey, involving a total of about 9 industrial enterprises.

    Small and micro enterprises are estimated by sampling method, and the survey data of large and medium-sized enterprises are combined to calculate the utilization rate of industrial capacity in the whole country.

    The survey was conducted quarterly and the data were not seasonally adjusted.
