Suning E-Buy Online Growth Of 20% In The First Half Of The Year, With More Than 600 Million Members
Recently, Suning e-buy released the half year performance express in 2020.
According to the report, from January to June, Suning e-buy realized a sales scale of 194.155 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.40%, of which the online sales scale increased by 20.19%, and the proportion of online sales scale increased to 69.43%. In the first half of the year, Suning e-buy achieved an operating revenue of 118.243 billion yuan, with a significant improvement in non net profit, with a year-on-year increase of 76.74%.
High speed growth of online scale to improve quality and efficiency
Affected by the epidemic, the retail market in the first half of the year was under pressure as a whole. Driven by the housing economy, online sales ushered in growth. Data show that the national online retail sales increased by 7.3% year on year.
Suning e-buy focuses on the fine operation of online platform and the Internet development of offline stores, promotes community marketing, off store sales and home business, and achieves a 20.19% year-on-year increase in online sales scale. Among them, the growth rate of online sales in the second quarter was as high as 27.11%, reaching a new high in nearly six quarters.
During the epidemic period, Suning E-mart took the initiative to speed up the Internet transformation of stores. During the reporting period, Suning e-buy's push orders from stores increased by 113.80% year-on-year.
In terms of category operation, Suning e-buy's large FMCG business with Carrefour China as the core made a rapid breakthrough. The sales scale of FMCG and daily 100 categories of commodities increased by 106.70% from January to June. Carrefour's Internet operation capability has been greatly improved, the home business has achieved rapid growth, and the proportion of traffic from Suning ecosystem has continued to increase.
In terms of member operation, Suning e-buy actively enlivens consumer demand by strengthening social community marketing and cooperating with short video platform, so as to achieve continuous increase in the number of members. Suning e-buy added 46.83 million new registered users in the first half of the year, and the number of active users in June increased by 22.37% year-on-year. As of June 30, Suning's retail registered members reached 602 million.
Accelerate the opening up strategy and upgrade the retail service providers
In the first half of the year, Suning e-buy actively responded to the challenge of the epidemic situation, but also seized the opportunity to accelerate the opening and enabling of retail infrastructure, and accelerated the strategic upgrading from "retailer" to "retail service provider".
In terms of online open platform, Suning E-mart has deepened the ability of opening personalized recommendation, intelligent marketing tools and open warehouse distribution services, enabling merchants to improve the efficiency of flow distribution and transformation, and further enhance the commodity richness of platform merchants.
According to the express, in the first half of the year, the proportion of non electrical goods merchants in Suning e-buy open platform increased steadily to 87%, and the number and activity of merchants also increased greatly. The commodity transaction scale of the open platform reached 53.133 billion yuan, a significant increase of 63.71% over the same period of last year, which brought about an increase of 1.2% in the company's comprehensive gross profit margin.
In terms of retail cloud, through digital empowerment, Suning E-mart has broken the separation between online and offline, in store and out of store, forming a new business model of "supply chain + store + social e-commerce", and has achieved adverse growth in the epidemic situation.
According to the data, in the first half of the year, there were 1563 new stores opened by Suning e-buy retail cloud, with a year-on-year increase of 61.2%. With the rapid layout of retail Cloud Gate stores, Suning e-buy's logistics after-sales service ability in rural market has been further improved.
In terms of logistics operation, Suning e-buy has put into operation 58 logistics bases in 44 cities by June 2020. In the first half of the year, Suning logistics promoted the partner mechanism of terminal outlets, enabled terminal logistics nodes, and improved operational efficiency.
Focusing on the integrated service of warehouse and distribution, we have increased the opening to the outside world. Our partners cover a number of categories, such as home appliances 3C, home furnishings, fresh food, general merchandise, mother and baby, fitness equipment and so on. By the end of June, the area of warehouse property opened to the outside world increased by 77.77% year-on-year.
On July 27, Suning e-buy officially announced at the 818 press conference that it would upgrade its strategy to "retail service provider" in the next ten years, further consolidate and export the five service capabilities of supply chain, logistics, scene, finance and technology, open up the small and medium-sized micro economies in the enabling industry ecology to meet the needs of the majority of users.
