In 1987, Yu Sumei, who just graduated from University, was assigned to work in the technical department of Lianyungang Textile Machinery Factory (the predecessor of Lianyungang yingyou Textile Machinery Group Co., Ltd.). Since then, she has taken root in the production line, and has devoted herself to technical problems, and has developed more than 10 kinds of textile machinery and equipment. After the reorganization of the company in 2005, she devoted herself to the research and development of carbon fiber equipment and technology from the textile equipment development position. ?
Carbon fiber is a kind of high performance fiber with good heat resistance, light weight, high strength and high modulus. It is widely used in aerospace, transportation, sports and leisure products, medical, machinery, textile and other fields. At that time, due to the technical blockade and monopoly in the international market, China could only purchase carbon fiber products at a high price from abroad, and there was no way to purchase carbon fiber production equipment and technology. Under such circumstances, Zhang Guoliang, chairman of Lianyungang yingyou textile machinery group, decided to launch the carbon fiber project with the belief of "winning honor for the motherland and the nation", and transferred Yu Sumei and other technical backbones to set up a research and development team to specially tackle the industrialization problem of high-performance carbon fiber.
The technical team led by Zhang Guoliang has made great contributions to made in China and created in China. As a member of the carbon fiber research team, Yu Sumei has a lot of hardships along the way. "At that time, no one had ever seen carbon fiber equipment, and the whole country's understanding of carbon fiber was only at the stage of laboratory achievements. In this case, we can only feel the stone across the river, step by step to try to walk Yu Sumei recalled that in the absence of ready-made production equipment to refer to, there was no ready-made process flow for reference. According to Zhang Guoliang's design ideas, her equipment design team started from scratch, only through books, materials and University experts to explain, started the zigzag carbon fiber equipment research and development road, started self-design, self manufacturing, self installation, and self-development I debugged the campaign of carbon fiber production line.
Two months later, Yu Sumei team finally came up with the first design. However, the reality has poured a basin of cold water on them. The precursor produced by the carbon fiber production line needs to reach the strength standard of 6.0 CNG / min, and the carbon fiber produced can reach T300 grade. However, according to the original design of Yu Sumei team, the precursor made is far lower than the required technical indicators, and can not be carbonized at all. "Don't be afraid of making mistakes, don't be afraid of failure. Where you fail, you can get up and stick to it!" With the encouragement of Zhang Guoliang, Yu Sumei and her team worked day and night to correct and try to make mistakes. She repeatedly drew nearly 10000 drawings. In the end, with their excellent technical level and the strength of never giving up, they designed the spinning equipment for producing high-performance carbon fiber precursor on the basis of acrylic fiber spinning equipment.
In the whole research and development process of carbon fiber polymerization and carbonization equipment and technology, Yu Sumei and his team members started from scratch again, studied and explored a little bit, and constantly solved various problems encountered. Finally, the whole process flow of polymerization, spinning and carbonization was opened up. On the basis of small-scale test, the production line of 500 tons of precursor and 100 tons of carbonization production line with an annual output of 100 tons were installed Through the research and development work, we have formed a complete set of production line of 100 tons of carbon fiber, and the qualified carbon fiber was produced continuously for the first time in May 2007.
Tackling key technical problems
Promote the industrialization of domestic high performance carbon fiber
Under the guidance of the strong belief of "winning honor for the motherland and the nation", Yu Sumei and her team have successively completed a number of carbon fiber equipment production lines, from the beginning of T300 to the later T700, T800 and T1000, making great contributions to the industrialization and scale-up of high-performance carbon fiber in China In 2017, Yu Sumei won the first prize of the national science and Technology Progress Award for the "key technologies and applications of dry jet wet spinning 1000 ton high strength / 100 ton medium modulus carbon fiber industrialization". ?
Every time a new product is put into production, Yu Sumei often shuttles around the production workshops to check the operation of the machine and communicate with the front-line technical workers about the processing of product parts. When there are some difficult and abnormal problems in the production process, she is always the first to rush to the scene to find out the causes, understand the production situation and find solutions.
In the process of dry jet wet spinning, the fluctuation of the liquid level has a great influence on the quality of the tow, which is easy to cause the faults such as broken yarn and backward suction. For this reason, Yu Sumei and her team designed some devices carefully and made a lot of experiments, but the effect was not ideal. "One day, I went for a walk along the river. When the breeze blew, the water surface was covered with waves. Because it had just rained, the river rose and covered the lower surface of a warning sign in the river. At this time, I found that the waves on both sides of the warning sign were large on one side and small on the other side. It was very enlightening." Later, Yu Sumei added some baffles in the coagulation bath to block the propagation of the ripple. Unexpectedly, the effect is very good. The fluctuation of the liquid level of the coagulation bath is well controlled, and the turbulence phenomenon caused by the high-speed flow of the solidification bath liquid level and the influence of broken wire on the forming tow are eliminated, which lays a foundation for the production of high-performance carbon fiber precursor.
"The group is constantly pursuing higher quality carbon fiber, which also requires us to constantly carry out technological innovation and make the world's most advanced carbon fiber production equipment." Yu Sumei said frankly that with the efforts of the team, they have solved the complicated design of the spinneret assembly of the dry jet wet spinning machine head, solved many technical problems such as uneven oil application of the tow and unstable steam draft in the production process, and realized the high-speed spinning of the self-designed equipment.
Since March 2018, Yu Sumei has successively participated in and completed the feasibility study, overall scheme design, main equipment parts design of spinning production line and main equipment parts design of carbonization production line of Zhongfu Shenying carbon fiber Xining company, a subsidiary of the group. The project is the first phase planning of the carbon fiber project with an annual output of 20000 tons, including 12 production lines of polymerization, spinning and carbonization. In July 2020, with the complete set of carbon fiber production equipment successively transported to Xining, Yu Sumei personally went to the installation and commissioning work, provided technical guidance and monitoring for the whole process, timely handled various technical problems on site, and actively participated in the trial production.
Cross border research and development of mask machine
Take orders in the face of danger and show responsibility
After the outbreak of new crown pneumonia in January 2020, epidemic prevention materials, especially masks, are in serious shortage. In order to meet the social needs, Zhang Guoliang decided to establish Lianyungang yingyou Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. Under his leadership, Yu Sumei and his team were once again ordered to devote themselves to the research and development of mask machines. ?
This project is a new product, which Yu Sumei has never been exposed to. In the face of the difficulties such as the variety of parts and components of mask production equipment, complex structure, tight time and heavy task, she and the technical research team devoted themselves to the mask machine design. They went to the mask production site, referred to the prototype, looked for similar product data for reference, drew parts drawings, prepared various technical documents, and followed the shift to solve various problems encountered in the production and manufacturing process Question. Through joint efforts, we completed the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of four full-automatic plane mask machines in just two weeks, and put them into production quickly, effectively ensuring the supply of epidemic prevention materials. In this year, yingyou Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. produced more than 100 million masks, which helped the global fight against the epidemic, and showed its great love and responsibility incisively and vividly.
As the person in charge of Yu Sumei's model worker Innovation Studio, Yu Sumei has not forgotten to do a good job in "mentoring" in her work, and has been training new people hand in hand. She shuttles in the workshop every day and keeps company with the equipment. "
Today, Yu Sumei model worker Innovation Studio has 5 provincial and ministerial level model workers, 4 municipal model workers, and nearly 30 members have obtained more than 40 national technology patents.
