In 2020, the industrial added value of textile enterprises above Designated Size will decrease by 2.6% year on year. Among them, the added value of textile industry increased by 0.7% year-on-year; the added value of chemical fiber manufacturing industry increased by 2.2%; the added value of textile clothing and clothing industry decreased by 9.0%. Driven by the demand for epidemic prevention materials, the industrial added value of industrial textile enterprises above Designated Size will increase by 54.1% and the output of non-woven fabrics will increase by 15.8% in 2020.
In 2020, the operating revenue of textile enterprises above Designated Size will reach 4519.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 8.8%; the total profit will be 206.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6.4%.
In 2020, China's textile and clothing exports reached 291.2 billion US dollars, close to the best level in history, with a year-on-year growth of 9.6%. Among them, driven by the export of epidemic prevention materials, the textile export increased by 29.2% year-on-year; affected by the epidemic situation in major foreign markets, the export of clothing decreased by 6.4% year-on-year.
