In 2020, the volume of export trade will reach 11.545 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 4.87%, achieving a steady growth for five consecutive years.

Lou Liren, Secretary General of Yantai textile and garment industry association, said that in 2020, Yantai's textile industry, clothing industry and chemical fiber manufacturing industry had withstood a great test. According to incomplete statistics, the output of yarn, cotton yarn, chemical fiber yarn, woolen cloth, chemical fiber, synthetic fiber and high-performance chemical fiber produced by Enterprises above Designated Size in the textile industry of the whole city decreased compared with the same period of last year, but the printing and dyeing fabric increased by 24.9% year on year, the clothing output of Yantai still exceeded 100 million pieces, and the non-woven fabric (non-woven fabric) increased by 89.9% year-on-year.

In terms of the main economic indicators of the city's textile industry (101 textile and garment enterprises in the city), the total assets of the textile industry in 2020 increased by 145.6% compared with the same period of last year; the textile and clothing industry increased by 15.7%; the chemical fiber manufacturing industry decreased by 11.6%. In terms of business income, the textile industry increased by 46.5% year-on-year; the textile clothing industry decreased by 14.1%; and the chemical fiber manufacturing industry decreased by 24.1%. In terms of total profit, the textile industry increased by 150%, the textile clothing industry increased by 66.7%, and the chemical fiber manufacturing industry increased by 22.2%. The average number of workers employed by the textile industry increased by 66.7% year-on-year; the textile clothing industry increased by 6.3%; and the chemical fiber manufacturing industry remained unchanged.

The textile and clothing export volume of the whole city increased. In 2020, there are more than 1300 textile and garment export enterprises in the city, and the annual export trade volume reaches 11.545 billion yuan, an increase of 4.87% compared with the same period of last year, realizing a steady growth for five consecutive years. In the adverse situation of increasing uncertainty of external environment, a large number of textile and garment export trade enterprises have emerged in Yantai, which has promoted the export trade of Yantai textile and garment, and continued to move forward steadily in the adverse situation.
