China Cotton Association: The Overall Production And Sales Of Textile Enterprises Are Smooth, And The Demand For Cotton Is Good

China Cotton Association disclosed on the 18th that the overall production and sales of textile enterprises have been smooth, the demand for cotton is better, and the cotton inventory in Xinjiang has dropped sharply.

According to the survey data of 154 cotton delivery and supervision warehouses in 18 provinces and cities of the national cotton trading market by the cotton logistics branch of China Cotton Association, the total turnover inventory of cotton was about 1.731 million tons at the end of July, down by 468000 tons on a month on month basis, which was larger than that of last month and lower than 260700 tons in the same period of last year.

China Cotton Association said that as of the end of July, the turnover inventory of commercial cotton in the mainland was 603900 tons, a decrease of 82700 tons on a month on month basis.

In terms of provinces, Jiangsu Province ranked first with 230900 tons, followed by Henan Province with 152900 tons, Shandong Province ranked third with 148700 tons, Hebei Province 27700 tons, Hubei Province 22600 tons, and other provinces were all below 10000 tons.

From the perspective of inventory changes, most of the provinces with large consumption showed varying degrees of decline, among which Shandong Province showed the largest decline, with a decrease of 28000 tons; Henan Province took the second place, with a decrease of 26300 tons; Jiangsu Province decreased by 17300 tons; In other provinces, the decline was below 6000 tons. Only the inventory situation of Shaanxi Province slightly increased compared with the previous month, with an increase of 14000 tons.

In addition, as of the end of July, the turnover inventory of commodity cotton in 43 warehouses in Xinjiang was 1127100 tons, a decrease of 385300 tons on a month on month basis, and a year-on-year decrease of 97200 tons.
