Xu Weilin, textile and polymer materials scientist. Born in Hubei Province in 1969, he is now a professor of Wuhan Textile University. He is deputy secretary of the Party committee and President of Wuhan Textile University.
Xu Weilin has been engaged in the research of advanced spinning technology and textiles for a long time. He has carried out technological innovation and industrialization in the fields of ultra-high count yarn, soft clean yarn, special yarn, yarn differentiation, yarn and product testing, and has achieved outstanding results. He has presided over and participated in more than 30 scientific research projects, such as the national key R & D program, the national science and technology support plan, 973 national high and new technology basic research, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published more than 150 SCI papers at home and abroad, and authorized more than 70 invention patents in China and the United States. It has won one first prize of national science and technology progress award, one second prize of National Technological Invention Award and three first prizes of provincial and ministerial level. He was awarded the China Youth Science and technology award, the outstanding contribution award of science and technology of Hubei Province, the first outstanding achievement award of American Fiber Association in mainland China, the science and technology innovation award of He Liang He Li foundation, China Textile academic award, and the first mulberry and hemp scholar.
Xu Weilin continued to tackle key problems, developed and improved the ring spinning principle, developed embedded composite spinning and heavy agglomeration spinning technology, and promoted the development of the spinning industry. In order to break through the limitations of ring spinning in the aspects of yarn fineness, difficult to spin fiber spinning and yarn structure, he deeply studied the fiber movement and transfer mechanism in the micro spinning triangle area, and optimized the physical model of the twisting triangle area by introducing filament cohesion force and thermal plasticizing fiber macromolecules, To promote the mechanical stability of the spinning triangle and the controllability of fiber movement transfer, a new spinning technology is established to break through the bottleneck problems of yarn fineness and yarn hairiness. In the field of wool spinning, we have developed the embedded composite spinning technology, which has achieved the production of more than 300 cm count ultra-high count yarn beyond the international level, innovated the matching key devices and key technologies in the front and back, and developed the lightest and thinnest top-grade fabric in the world. This technology has also been extended to the production of high-quality yarn with high rigidity, aramid and other hard to spin fibers; In the field of cotton spinning, we have developed the technology of heavy concentration spinning, improved the intelligent control system of yarn quality, produced soft and clean cotton yarn, effectively reduced the unit labor force, and consolidated the international position of China's high-end cotton yarn, and the relevant technical achievements have been applied in many large textile enterprises; In the field of special yarn, high performance fiber yarn and its products have been developed. The "high temperature resistant elastic sealing device of Mars landing Rover" developed by this technology solves the problems of high heat insulation, springback and sealing at 1500 ° C at the engine nozzle, which provides guarantee for the attitude adjustment of tianwen-1 during the "devil 9 minutes" landing process, and serves the national major engineering needs.
Xu Weilin pays attention to innovation, creates natural fiber powder, innovates yarn surface control technology, develops composite yarn and textile, and promotes the development of differential yarn. In order to solve the international problem that natural fibers are difficult to be used in spinning due to insufficient length and shape, he innovated the principle of powdering and deconstructing different protein fibers, and invented the technology of reconstituting them into fibers and preparing high-performance yarns, realizing the morphological and functional reconstruction of waste fibers and their yarns. The colored silk micro nanoparticles with good chromatography and fastness developed by this achievement were combined with high-performance pigments to assemble the color pattern of the national flag on the lunar surface, which solved the problems of Color Sublimation and cross color in absolute vacuum and alternating high and low temperature cycles, and fading under strong ultraviolet, The successful display of chang'e-5 lunar flag, China's first textile flag used in the harsh space environment, has also been transformed into the Winter Olympics clothing production.
Xu Weilin is good at innovation and invents the testing method and technology of 3D dynamic water conductivity of textiles, which solves the international problem that the unidirectional and double-sided water conductivity of textile fabrics and sanitary products cannot be tested. He invented the detection technology of conducting ions loaded in liquid water and its tracing motion law. He used mathematics, microelectronics detection and computer imaging to show the diffusion rate and morphology of liquid water in yarn and its fabric online. He established the only test method that can test the dynamic water conductivity difference between two sides of fiber products, and obtained invention patents from the United States and China, This method has become American Standard (AATCC TM 195-2009) and Chinese standard (GB / T 21655.2-2009). The instruments produced by this patent are widely used at home and abroad. The research on the influence of fiber microstructure, yarn structure and fabric structure on water conductivity has innovated the control method of textile water conductivity, and realized the development and practical application of one-way moisture conduction and quick drying comfort functional fabric.
Xu Weilin adheres to morality and cultivates talents, and actively sets an example in talent cultivation and academic construction. It has trained more than 70 doctors and masters and a large number of excellent undergraduates, and donated the 1 million yuan prize for outstanding contributions to science and technology in Hubei Province as a student scholarship. As the leader of the national teaching team, he has won one second prize of National Teaching Research Award.
