Ministry Of Culture And Tourism: Promoting The Revitalization Of Rural Areas With Cultural Industry Empowerment And Traditional Textile Technology Will Have Achievements

The Ministry of culture and tourism and other six departments recently jointly issued the opinions on promoting the revitalization of rural areas endowed with cultural industries (hereinafter referred to as the opinions). The opinions strengthen the overall planning and development and resource protection and utilization from five aspects, and strengthen the land use guarantee of key facilities and projects related to the Rural Revitalization of cultural industries. It includes emphasizing the rational use of land on the basis of effective protection, strengthening the protection of land for cultural industry and tourism industry, carrying out classified management of land for cultural industry and tourism industry according to law, exploring new ways of land use for the integration of rural primary, secondary and tertiary industries, and promoting the scientific and rational use of collective construction land.

In the opinion, eight areas including creative design, performance industry, music industry, art industry, handicraft, digital culture, other cultural industries and cultural tourism integration are identified as key areas to enable rural revitalization. Among them, in the aspect of handicraft empowerment, China's traditional crafts revitalization plan was implemented to promote the extensive application of traditional crafts in modern life. We should encourage inheritors, designers and artists of intangible cultural heritage to participate in the creation and production of rural handicrafts, strengthen the protection and inheritance of excellent traditional handicrafts of all ethnic groups, promote rational utilization, drive farmers to carry out handicraft creation and production in combination with reality, and promote the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional crafts such as spinning, dyeing, weaving and embroidery. In terms of cultural and tourism integration and empowerment, we will promote the integration of intangible cultural heritage into all links of rural tourism, support the use of intangible cultural heritage workshops, heritage experience centers and other places, and cultivate a number of rural intangible cultural heritage tourism experience bases.
