Global Perspective: Vietnam To Speed Up The Recovery And Development Of Textile And Garment Enterprises After The Epidemic

Vietnam + reported on August 16 that Hanoi investment, trade and Tourism Promotion Center (HPA) held a forum on "improving the governance capacity of textile enterprises under the new situation" at InterContinental Hotel, Xihu County, Hanoi on August 16, aiming to support enterprises to strengthen interconnection and improve production and operation efficiency.

For many years, vice director of Vietnam's textile trade promotion center has been one of the pillar activities of Vietnam's textile trade promotion center.

2022 is a year for textile enterprises to recover from the severe impact of the new epidemic. In the first half of 2022, the export volume of textile and clothing is expected to be US $22.3 billion, an increase of 17.7% over the same period in 2021. The trade surplus was US $8.86 billion, an increase of 32% over the same period in 2021.

Affected by the Xinguan epidemic, textile and garment enterprises are focusing on the R & D and production of raw materials to improve their initiative and reduce their dependence on imported raw materials. At the same time, we should look for measures to quickly adapt to the new business environment.

At the symposium, the delegates said that the textile and garment industry can overcome the challenges and make full use of the "golden" opportunity. Enterprises need to continue to promote the development of brands and new products, realize the diversification of raw material supply and export market, and "green" textile industry, and strive to achieve the target of export volume reaching 68-70 billion US dollars by 2030.
