National Cotton Industry Technology System High Quality Early Maturing Cotton Observation Meeting Held

An expert group composed of Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Dunhuang agricultural technology center and Jiuquan Academy of Agricultural Sciences was used to measure the yield of Zhongmian 113 and its cultivation techniques. The results showed that Zhongmian 113 had excellent comprehensive characters, outstanding early maturity, moderate floc capacity and concentrated boll opening. The average seed cotton yield was 465.2 kg / mu and lint yield was 223.3 kg / mu. The results showed that the boll forming and boll opening were concentrated in the demonstration field to meet the needs of high yield and high quality of cotton varieties in Gansu Province. Experts suggested that we should further strengthen the demonstration and promotion of "Zhongmian 113" new cotton variety with early maturity, stable yield and high quality in Gansu Province.

The characteristics of Zhongmian 113 were briefly introduced by Ma Xiongfeng, a scientist of national cotton industry technology system and a major breeder of Zhongmian 113. Zhongmian 113 broke the negative correlation of the three most important agronomic traits in production, and realized the double growth of yield and fiber quality. The fiber length was 31.3 mm, the breaking strength was 33.6cn · tex-1, the micronaire value was 4.4, and the lint percentage was 45-48%. According to Gansu Province, it will be introduced again in 2022. Zhongmian 113 has been selected as the main cotton variety promoted by the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas, the fourth, sixth, seventh, eighth and twelfth divisions of Xinjiang production and Construction Corps and Bozhou, Changji and Aksu regions of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and has been approved to export to countries along the belt and road.

In October 2021, China Cotton 113 and other varieties from the 27000 mu CCIA cotton production base of the national cotton industry alliance, through several rounds of fierce bidding, the target 5000 tons of CCIA high-quality cotton were bid by the back-end supply chain, textile, clothing and other domestic and foreign enterprises, and signed an order purchase agreement, with the highest price increase of 2500 yuan / ton, realizing the high-quality and good price of domestic high-quality cotton.

At present, China is still faced with some outstanding problems, such as large gap of high-quality raw cotton, low uniformity of cotton fiber, poor spinnability, excellent comprehensive properties of breakthrough cotton varieties, lack of agricultural machinery and agronomy. We should strengthen the construction of high-quality raw cotton production, improve the production concentration of high-quality cotton in China, and establish and improve the quality control technical regulations, It is the key way to enhance the international competitiveness of China's cotton production and promote the high-quality development of national cotton industry. At present, the planting conditions of Zhongmian 113 in Xinjiang are very mature, with high quality, high yield and suitable for mechanical harvesting. Therefore, the demonstration and promotion of the original seed in Gansu Province will be conducive to promoting the high-quality cotton Park production, and promoting and radiating the large-scale production of high-quality cotton in surrounding cotton areas.
