    Forty Years Of Chinese Men'S Wear

       After three years of careful polishing, at the end of 2022, the first Chinese men's wear research masterpiece, Forty Years of Chinese Men's Wear (1979-2021), jointly launched by the China Association of Fashion Designers, China Men's Wear Advanced Customization Research Center, Wuhan Textile University and Guangzhou Hongmian International Fashion City, was officially published.
       This book is led by Xiong Zhaofei, Vice President of China Fashion Designers Association, Director of China Men's Wear Advanced Customization Research Center, and Professor of the School of Fashion of Wuhan Textile University. Bu Xiaoqiang, Special Vice President of China Textile Federation, President of Guangdong Garment Industry Association, General Manager of Guangzhou Hongmian International Fashion City, and Zhang Qinghui, President of China Fashion Designers Association, jointly prepared this book. ?
       The change of Chinese men's clothing since the reform and opening up 40 years carries the changes of the times, and is the epitome of the development and progress of the entire Chinese clothing industry. To this end, in January 2020, Zhang Qinghui, Bu Xiaoqiang and their delegation came to Wuhan Textile University China Men's Wear Advanced Customization Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Center") to guide work, and jointly launched the first step of strategic cooperation in the development of China's men's wear industry.
       In order to ensure the authority and accuracy of the research results, the Center has set up an expert team of more than 20 people. After extensive research, the Center has conducted comprehensive data collection and analysis, personal interviews, questionnaires, A lot of work such as historical evolution research.
       Chen Dapeng, Vice President of China Textile Industry Federation and President of China National Garment Association, gave great support and help during the survey. He wrote in the foreword of this book that the changes of Chinese men's clothing in the past 40 years profoundly reflect the changes of the times since the reform and opening up, and are a sign of China's growing strength and great rejuvenation. Through this book, we can understand the life history and ideological history of Chinese men in the past 40 years since the reform and opening up.
       This book was also inscribed and prefaced by Du Yuzhou, the former president of the China Textile Industry Federation. Minister Du Yuzhou highly commented that this book combs and analyzes the relationship between the development of China's men's clothing industry and political, economic, cultural, social life and other factors since the reform and opening up, which will provide useful reference and thinking for China's textile and clothing industry, especially for the long-term development of the men's clothing industry in the new era.
       Leading the trend of Chinese men's wear and promoting sustainable innovation in the industry
       As the member units of the Center, the Khmer Rouge International Fashion City and Guangzhou Midgate have continued to deepen the Chinese menswear industry in recent years, building a platform for display and promotion, international exchanges, and business cooperation for the Chinese menswear industry, and also providing a lot of materials for the publication of this book and the academic research of the Center.
       2018 is the year of integration of Chinese men's wear brands. At that time, men's wear enterprises gradually transformed into "brand ecosystem" and "brand management platform"; A large number of men's designer brands have emerged; Personalized and customized men's wear brands developed rapidly; With intelligent manufacturing flexible production line as the technical support and customer demand as the starting point, the characteristics of returning to the essence of industry are increasingly obvious.

       With the guidance of the national textile and clothing industry and the support of the relevant government departments, the cotton wool group, which has a keen sense of fashion, innovatively launched the first cotton wool international men's wear week, becoming the focus of the industry. Standing at a new node where the development strategy of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area has been comprehensively promoted, the launch of the Cotton Rouge International Men's Fashion Week has created an important window for China's cutting-edge men's fashion culture to export to the international stage.
       In 2019, Khmer Rouge Group was invited to become an important partner of the "China Guest Country" project of the 96th PITTI UOMO Men's Wear Exhibition, helping China's cutting-edge design onto the international stage. On June 11, the third Khmer Rouge International Men's Wear Week opened at the same time as PITTI UOMO. Fashion trends were staged simultaneously in Florence, Italy and Guangzhou, China, leading the new wave of Chinese men's wear in the era of globalization and becoming one of the highlights of the Chinese fashion industry.
       During the fourth men's wear week in November of the same year, ON REAL SHOWROOM, as the first exclusive showroom platform for men's wear week in China, made its debut, further highlighting the development advantage of the efficient commerce and trade of the Cotton Rouge International Men's Wear Week. With the "show+showroom" mode of international fashion industry operation, it maximized the platform value of the "fashion engine of China's men's wear industry".
       At the 2020 Sino Italian Fashion Summit Forum held in November 2019, Mario Boselli, Honorary President of European Design Center and Lifetime Honorary President of Italian Fashion Association, came to the scene and was awarded the "General Advisor of the Cotton Rouge International Men's Wear Week", which means that the Cotton Rouge International Men's Wear Week has reached a new height and helped China's original men's wear to further integrate with the world.
    Build a bridge between Chinese men's wear and international high-end fashion resources by leveraging fashion platforms such as Men's Wear Week

       The next development direction of China's clothing industry is "a new journey of fashion, moving towards high precision". "High" represents the R&D intensity of enterprises, "refined" refers to the original innovation with independent intellectual property rights, and "sharp" refers to the international technology frontier that can lead the development direction of the industry.
       Zhang Qinghui spoke highly of the research results such as the compilation and publication of this book. He pointed out that the new generation of Chinese men have awakened their attention to clothing. The center gathers the advantageous resources of industry associations, industrial clusters and academic platforms, focuses on the theoretical research, design guidance, trend release, advanced research training and other key contents of men's wear, and has brought practical results for the high-quality development of China's men's wear industry.
       Xiong Zhaofei said that relying on the resource advantages of the center's industry, education and research, after three years of academic discussion, market analysis and enterprise research, a relatively complete Chinese men's clothing culture innovation system has initially formed. This book is not only the establishment and presentation of the development history of Chinese men's wear industry, but also the reference basis for Chinese men's wear culture, men's wear design theory and men's wear brand development strategy.
       Bu Xiaoqiang said that in recent years, Khmer Rouge Group has actively invested in the industry, education, research and development exhibition of China's fashion industry. As a member unit of the center, the company gave full play to the resource advantages and influence of the professional market, deeply organized and cooperated with the project team to investigate, mobilized the enthusiasm and participation of industry enterprises, and completed the preparation and publication of this book. It has also cooperated with Wuhan Textile University and other clothing colleges to build graduate internship bases, and built a communication platform for talents, brands, and industries.
