On November 16, 2023, the China Textile Industry Federation organized the appraisal meeting of the project "Development and Application of Self closing Needle Hole PTFE Composite Sewing Thread for Dust Removal Filter Bag" jointly completed by Suzhou Naide New Material Technology Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Inspection and Testing Certification Group Co., Ltd., Northeast University and other units in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, The appraisal committee believes that the project achievements have reached the international advanced level. The research results of the project are briefly introduced as follows:
1、 Project research background
At present, China has become the largest country of origin of fluoropolymer materials and their products. With the localization of raw material supply and the development of environmental protection industry, the PTFE fiber material with great application value for bag filter technology has developed rapidly. PTFE sewing thread is the preferred material for high-temperature dust removal filter bag. China has become the largest producer and exporter of PTFE sewing thread. According to statistics, there are more than 1500 tons of dust removal filter bag lines in the world alone, and China's products account for more than 90% of the global market supply. At present, there are only a few PTFE sewing threads for filter bags produced by GORE, Len zing, and YMT in Taiwan.
The defects of PTFE sewing thread in the application of bag type dust removal technology will cause the failure of the filter bag. The material has excellent chemical resistance and temperature resistance, but there are also defects in the physical properties such as thermal creep, non abrasion resistance, low friction coefficient, etc., resulting in the bags sewed with pure PTFE sewing thread falling due to thermal creep, and the suture breaking, Serious quality problems such as wear and fracture that make the filter bag invalid. The project starts with improving the performance defects of sewing thread, and makes composite sewing thread through spinning composite technology, so that the materials can learn from each other in terms of performance and give better play to their respective performance advantages. The project product finally realizes the purpose of improving the dust removal effect of the filter bag (improving the filtering efficiency), extending the service life of the filter bag, reducing the user's production cost, and improving the production efficiency. On the technical level, the project adopts composite spinning technology to strengthen the mechanical properties of products such as wear resistance, and innovatively improve the mechanical structure of sewing thread, aiming at the performance defects of materials, which is a breakthrough in the application technology of PTFE fiber materials in composite materials.
The project researches and develops the "pinhole self closing PTFE composite sewing line" suitable for the dust removal filter bag, which makes positive contributions to plugging pinhole penetration, improving the dust removal effect of the dust removal filter bag, extending the service life of the dust removal filter bag, reducing the production cost of the enterprise's filter bag, and improving the production efficiency, so as to promote the high-quality development of the bag dust removal industry.
2、 Main innovation points of the project
The project has researched and developed PTFE monofilament as the main raw material, and has realized the direct doubling, twice doubling, cladding doubling and other composite technologies with modified PPS, meta aramid, POD, PI and other high-performance fiber yarns; A sewing thread oiling device for improving oil content and adhesion is invented; The prepared "needle hole self closing PTFE composite sewing thread" solves the problems of pure PTFE sewing thread such as smooth surface (low friction coefficient), poor holding fastness, needle hole ash leakage, improves the thermal creep resistance and wear resistance, and improves the performance of PTFE filter bag sewing thread.

3、 Project industrialization and application
The project has built a production line of needle hole self closing PTFE composite sewing line, realizing industrialization. The project products have been used in the dust removal filter bags in the treatment of high-temperature and highly corrosive flue gas in power, waste incineration, cement, steel smelting and other industries, improving the dust removal efficiency of the filter bags, extending the service life of the filter bags, and achieving long-term stable ultra-low emissions of particulate matter, It has good economic and social benefits.

4、 Brief introduction of project completion unit
Suzhou Naide New Material Technology Co., Ltd. is an entity enterprise integrating the research, development, production and sales of fluorinated new materials. He has participated in a number of patent inventions of polytetrafluoroethylene long and short fibers, membrane materials and their derivatives. Guangzhou Inspection, Testing and Certification Group Co., Ltd. is the only municipal state-owned enterprise in Guangzhou whose main business is inspection, testing and certification. It was founded in September 2016, put into trial operation in 2017, and officially put into operation in 2018.
