    Standard Quality: There Will Be Evidence For The Production Of Chemical Fiber Products

    Chemical Fiber Standard

       From December 5 to 6, the National Chemical Fiber Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC586) organized a draft review meeting in Xiamen, Fujian Province. More than 140 members and industry experts from China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, Shanghai Textile Industry Technology Supervision Institute, National Chemical Fiber Standardization Technical Committee and Standardization Technical Committee of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association attended the meeting.
       At this review meeting, three industry standards were reviewed, namely, Fiber grade Antimony free Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Slice, Test Method for Chromaticity and Color Difference of Chemical Fiber Staple Fiber, and Creep resistant UHMWPE Filament, There are four chemical fiber group standards, namely, Disperse Dyeable Polyester (PET) Chips under Normal Pressure, Disperse Dyeable Polyester Pre oriented Filament under Normal Pressure, Disperse Dyeable Polyester Low Elastic Filament under Normal Pressure, and Disperse Dyeable Polyester Drafting Filament under Normal Pressure.
       At the same time of the meeting, the working meeting on the two standards of Test Method for Resistance Tensile Sensitivity Coefficient of Chemical Fiber Conductive Filament and NMMO Solvent for Lyocell Fiber was successfully held. The committee members and experts present at the meeting carefully discussed various standards and fully discussed the key technical issues involved in the standards. After the meeting, the standard drafting units will further improve the standards according to the experts' opinions and then organize the submission for approval.
       In order to improve the standardization level of the chemical fiber industry and train standardization talents, the National Technical Committee for Chemical Fiber Standardization also organized special publicity and implementation meetings for three important national standards issued in the past two years.
       Zhang Wenqiang, the quality supervisor of Chuzhou Xingbang Polymerized Color Fiber Co., Ltd., introduced the preparation process of Test Method for Dry Heat Shrinkage of Synthetic Fiber Staples (GB/T 43015-2023), and shared the details that are prone to errors in the actual operation of enterprises. "The selection of electric blast drying oven is very critical. The difference between the sample placement in the box and the blowing method is an important source of error in the comparative experiment during the standard formulation process." Zhang Wenqiang stressed.
       Liu Hongtao, associate professor of Wuhan Textile University, shared the main contents of Determination of Dynamic Elastic Modulus of Chemical Fibers - Acoustic Pulse Propagation Method (GB/T 43013-2023). The traditional tensile method has the problems of monotonous overloading and relaxation in the process of modulus measurement, as well as the problem of destroying samples and curves in the process of operation, which can not determine the microstructure of fibers. The acoustic pulse propagation law can synchronously detect the fiber orientation structure by means of light pulse loading, and has the advantages of nondestructive and repeatable samples, and density can not be measured.
       Li Hongjie, director of Shanghai Institute of Textile Industry Technology Supervision, publicized and implemented the Determination of Solvent Residues in Chemical Fibers (GB/T 41671-2022). Lyocell fiber, spandex, aramid fiber and other chemical fibers are produced by solution spinning process, and a small amount of solvent will remain in the fiber during the production process. This standard covers DMF, DMAC, DMSO, NMP, NMMO, decalin The method for determination of solvent residues of tetrahydronaphthalene (7 organic solvents), NaSCN and concentrated sulfuric acid (2 inorganic solvents) is applicable to spandex, acrylic fiber, polyimide fiber, meta aramid fiber, polyvinyl alcohol fiber, Lyocell fiber, polyacrylonitrile based carbon fiber precursor, para aramid fiber and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber.
