The lyrics of the song, "Cut Taihang Mountain, Zhang River comes through the mountain, and the people of Lin County are so ambitious that they are determined to rearrange the rivers and mountains", left a deep impression on me. Later, in the media such as film and television, newspapers and magazines, we also saw relevant reports from time to time, and the Red Flag Canal spirit was widely promoted. I watched the TV series "Red Flag Canal" two years ago, and I wanted to see it on the spot.

After getting off the expressway, a striking slogan with yellow characters on a red background came into sight - "The spirit of the Red Flag Canal is the precious spiritual wealth of our party". After a short drive along the Xingyang National Highway, you will reach the Red Flag Canal Scenic Area through an aqueduct. It was already three o'clock in the afternoon when we arrived. There were still many tourists visiting. The parking lot was almost full. Most of the license plates were "four provinces of mountains and rivers".

There are sculptures on the roadside with the theme of water control. The white red letter monument in the middle is particularly tall and eye-catching - "The Red Flag Canal is a monument". Moving on, we came to the "diversion gate", the core project of the Red Flag Canal. From here, the main canal of the Red Flag Canal was divided into three. The water from the Zhuozhang River for more than 50 years continuously flowed to the hinterland of Linzhou through three main canals, irrigating 540000 mu of fertile land.

There is a winding path along the No. 1 trunk canal. Only one car can pass through the narrow place. By passing Heilong Temple, Qingquan Temple, and Canglong Temple, you can feel the local people's extreme desire for water. Finally, under the strong leadership and strong organization of the Party, the people of Linxian County, relying on collective strength, with one hammer, one chisel and one hand, fought hard for 10 years, engraved the 1500 km long "artificial Tianhe" on the Taihang Mountain, and forged this "eighth wonder of the world" with blood and life.

What kind of rivers and mountains cannot be rearranged with the spirit of people in Lin County who go forward and dare to sacrifice! They are remembered by history and forever engraved on the monument.

It was not officially completed until July 1969, nine years later. Although it is slow, it always moves forward, and the process is hard and tangled. This process has also proved that as long as the direction is correct and the mountains are firmly set, we can finally work together to complete the seemingly impossible task. Decision criteria and sacrifice are also valuable. If the direction is wrong, it can only be laborious, and even the harder you work, the more unfortunate you will be. The greatness of the Red Flag Canal is also being condensed in it. It is known as the "Great Wall on Water in China" and "the largest artificial canal". 　　

　　 Some things may be particularly shocking when you are young, but as time goes on, experience increases, and vision broadens, things that were worth shocking at the beginning may gradually fade away. The profound significance, outstanding achievements and spiritual values of the Red Flag Canal transcend time and space. No matter how long it has been baptized, the Red Flag Canal can still touch our hearts, and is always worth shaking!
