Us And Brazil Textile And Garment Industry To Strengthen Cooperation
After meeting with the US government in late April 2008, the US and Brazil textile industry executives promised that the two countries will gradually strengthen cooperation.
In the 1 day summit held in April 28th on the next day of "US-Brazil CEO Forum", which is to strengthen the bilateral economic and commercial relations between the US and Pakistan, "Brazil Brazil dialogue: textile and garment industry", the two sides discussed the challenges and opportunities of international trade, and looked forward to the integration of the Western Hemisphere and Global trade relations.
Brazil's ambassador to the United States, Antonio Patriota, said the summit represents the start of a new era of cooperation between the two countries.
Aguinaldo Diniz Filho, chairman of Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (ABIT), Brazil, pointed out that the summit is the beginning of many dialogues between the two countries on how to enhance cooperation in the textile industry in the future.
The AAFA and ABIT executives signed a memorandum after the meeting as a first step in continuing to strengthen cooperation.
