Quanzhou'S Foreign Trade Competitiveness Ranks Among The Thirty-Sixth Place In The Country, Ranking Thirteenth In Structural Competitiveness.

A few days ago, "China Customs" magazine released the "list of Chinese cities' foreign trade competitiveness in 2007", and announced the top 100 Chinese foreign trade cities in 2007.

Quanzhou ranked thirty-sixth from forty-fourth in 2006.

Yesterday, the Quanzhou Customs said that the upgrading of our city's ranking showed that our city's foreign trade competitiveness has been enhanced.

It is reported that the list of China's urban foreign trade competitiveness is composed of 5 two level indicators, 24 three level indicators, such as horizontal competitiveness, structural competitiveness, efficiency competitiveness, development competitiveness and potential competitiveness.

According to the responsible person of Quanzhou customs, the promotion of our city's ranking is mainly due to the structural competitiveness entering the top 30, ranking the thirteenth place, and the only city in our province with the competitive strength of 20.

This shows that our city's foreign trade structure is more reasonable, the technical content of export products has been improved, the ability of product development and market development is strong, products and markets are diversified, and it has stronger ability to deal with risks and resist external shocks.

At the same time, the official also said that although the other 4 two level indicators, our city has not entered the 30 mandatory list, but there is still great room for development and potential, so we can take some measures to enhance.

Quanzhou customs recommends that the city should further play the regional advantages of Haixi, increase economic and trade cooperation with Taiwan, speed up the construction of infrastructure such as energy and pportation, integrate and optimize port functions, enhance the attractiveness, radiative power and comprehensive service capabilities of the surrounding areas, expand the scope of radiation to the central and western regions, and give full play to the location advantages of "Haibei to the South and east to West alliance", promote the balance of imports and exports, reduce the trade surplus, and speed up the pformation of "big supply market" to "big export market" to raise the level of competitiveness.

Because our city's foreign trade mainly relies on the traditional low value-added industries such as textile, clothing, shoes and hat packaging, and the homogeneity of the industries is relatively high, which results in the low foreign trade benefits of our city. Therefore, our city should speed up the development of high value-added industries such as photoelectric energy, ships and textile machinery, and actively introduce key projects such as big, profitable, strong driving force, low resource consumption, leading projects, backbone projects and high-end manufacturing projects, which can support the radiation.

The competitiveness of development is composed of 4 levels of three indicators, namely, the average import of equipment, the actual utilization of foreign capital per capita, the proportion of 500 powerful enterprises entering the foreign trade, and the import and export of special regulatory regions.
