The pH value is an index of safety. The pH value of textiles is beneficial to prevent bacteria from intruding between slightly acidic and neutral. Too high pH values can destroy the acidic environment of human skin, resulting in the destruction of natural barriers on the skin's surface, stimulating the skin, causing bacteria, causing diseases, delicate skin and rapid blood circulation. Improper pH value is more likely to cause skin inflammation and damage the sweat gland system and nervous system.

There are many reasons for the unqualified pH value of textile products. All kinds of agents in textile printing and dyeing are not adequately washed, and all kinds of finishing agents added in the process of washing are not standardized. If the fabric is not fully washed after printing and dyeing, it will be dried out or not take certain measures to neutralize the fabric, which will cause the pH value of the fabric to exceed the standard.

Export enterprises should take measures to effectively improve the passing rate of export garments: strengthen the training of relevant personnel, promote their correct understanding of standards and correct use of standards, avoid human factors causing color fastness and unqualified pH value; raise awareness of foreign technical trade measures; at the same time, introduce new technologies, new processes, and new methods; at the same time, use green dye and advanced finishing technology as far as possible; equip with necessary testing equipment and equipment, and strengthen training of inspectors; when signing contracts for purchase and sale, foreign trade units shall require suppliers to produce test reports for raw and auxiliary materials, and periodically or periodically purchase samples of raw materials and auxiliary materials, and send them to the authorities for testing and verification, so as to ensure that infant clothing meets the new requirements of green environmental protection.
