Import And Export Analysis Of Textiles And Garments In 08 / 1-8

According to statistics released by the Department of textiles and clothing (OTEXA) of the US Department of Commerce, in 2008 1-8, the United States imported 33 billion 640 million square meters of textiles and clothing from the world, down 5.2% from the same period last year, the amount of 64 billion 50 million dollars, down 3.7% from the same period last year. The import of 13 billion 970 million square meters from China decreased by 3.1% compared with the same period last year, and the amount was 20 billion 620 million dollars, down 1.7% from the same period last year.

My share of total imports in the United States increased from 39.3% in the same period last year to 40.2% this year, and the share in total imports increased from 32.8% in the same period last year to 33.4% this year.
