Thailand'S Textile Exports To Japan Increased By 36 Percentage Points Over The Same Period Last Year.
Statistics show that in 2008 1-10, Thailand's textile exports to Japan amounted to US $230 million, an increase of 36.3% over the same period last year.
Comprehensive foreign power reported on December 30th, Thailand Textile Research Institute said that since the signing of the Thai Japan economic cooperation agreement (JTEPA), Thailand has benefited greatly.
In 2008 1-10, Thailand's textile exports to Japan amounted to US $230 million, an increase of 36.3% over the same period last year.
According to the above agreement, Japan assisted Thailand in developing the textile industry, and sent technicians to Thailand to assist in the research and development of bleaching and dyeing industry to produce distinctive fabrics.
At present, Japan is the fourth largest export market for textiles in Thailand, next to ASEAN, the United States and the European Union.
