"Chinese Elements" Has Risen To The International Fashion Design Trend
Wang Qing, chairman of China Fashion Designers Association 26, said that "Chinese elements" are becoming the trend of international fashion design industry. The profound connotations of Chinese traditional culture are increasingly favored by international fashion designers and widely used.
Wang Qing said at the launch of the "Ordifen Cup" Chinese underwear element innovation design competition, at present, most Chinese fashion designers are more sensitive to fashion. The fashion elements of their works are almost the same with the most advanced styles in the world, but at the same time, they have little knowledge of Chinese traditional culture and lack the skillful combination of rich Chinese elements and fashion.
The "Ordifen Cup" Chinese underwear element innovation design competition is to encourage domestic and foreign fashion designers to get inspiration from Chinese traditional culture, to integrate Chinese culture and modern fashion and create new design highlights.
The theme of this competition is "swimming Yuan dream". According to Wang Wenzong, chairman of Ordifen International Group, the Yuan Dynasty culture was influenced by the Central Plains Civilization and retained the rich grassland nomadic breath. The textile technology and clothing form of the Yuan Dynasty also had significant characteristics of the times.
Yuan Qu is a valuable asset of the Chinese nation. The traditional Chinese Kunqu Opera, which is listed as the first Chinese traditional oral track and intangible heritage of the United Nations Educational, scientific and cultural organization, originated in the Kunshan region in the last years of the Yuan Dynasty and has become one of the symbols of Chinese traditional culture.
The theme of the competition is borrowed from the famous "Kunqu Opera dream". It is intended to take the fashionable underwear as the carrier, and visit the Yuan Dynasty as a clue to inherit the multi dimensional ancient classics, bringing new ideas to the gloomy textile economy.
Reporters learned that the annual "Ordifen Cup" Chinese underwear element innovation design competition since its inception in 2005, has established a good reputation at home and abroad, and has found a number of outstanding design talents. The competition has now entered the stage of collecting works. The finals will be held during the China Fashion Week in November this year.
