    Quanzhou'S Well-Known Shoe Companies Are Laying Out ASEAN.

    The reporter learned from the Quanzhou entry exit inspection and quarantine bureau that the sixth senior official meeting of the China ASEAN Expo recently came to a close in Nanning, Guangxi. The meeting revealed a news that the 2010 China ASEAN Free Trade Area will be completed on schedule.

    At that time, more than 90% of commodities between China and ASEAN will achieve zero tariff. In the future, bilateral cooperation in trade in services and investment will be more convenient.

    The news has aroused widespread concern in Quanzhou footwear enterprises. It is understood that some shoe and clothing enterprises are planning a brand expansion plan, and intend to accelerate the brand expansion of ASEAN market next year.

    At present, Quanzhou shoe enterprises have built up manufacturing bases in ASEAN. The Quanzhou brands that have opened stores in ASEAN countries include Anta, XTEP, Hongxing Erke, and Ali 361 degrees.

    Besides opening stores, some shoe brands also run factories in ASEAN countries.

    For example, Jinjiang Guo Hui shoes factory has set up factories in Vietnam, and now has 4 shoe making lines. Baofeng shoe industry is going to set up factories in Indonesia, and has recently visited Philippines, Vietnam and other places.

    Inspection and Quarantine Bureau responsible person said, at present, the domestic shoe market has become saturated, it is difficult to expand the market share in large proportion, and ASEAN has hundreds of millions of population, its market space is very big.

    In terms of cost, the cost of footwear brands entering the ASEAN market will be greatly reduced after the zero tariff is achieved. In particular, many shoe and clothing manufacturers in Quanzhou have many years of experience in the brand operation of the domestic market, and have strong competitive advantages in the brand promotion and sales system construction of the ASEAN market.
