Life In Tea: From Working Girl To Boss

In her pioneering work, Wang Yan, a college student, set a solid foothold in the relentless market competition to open up the tea market, and she took the self-produced and self marketing mode of operation to ensure the quality of the products.
Today, her tea business is also booming.
What is more unexpected to us is that after the marriage with tea, Wang Yanwu came out of the truth of life. She said, "tea is like your life, and you can taste the joys and sorrows of it."
Starting a business to start a tea house
Wang Yan's tea house is located at 130 Fengtian Avenue, which has only more than 10 square meters. It mainly manages Longjing, Tieguanyin, Puer tea, Maojian, song Le needles and other famous national tea.
In October 23rd, when I came to her shop, she was performing tea performances with skilled movements to explain the relevant knowledge of tea for customers.
It turned out that Wang Yan graduated from Chongqing Normal University in 1990. He worked as a production worker in a textile mill and then worked as a salesperson in a clothing store.
In 1999, she came to work in Kunming, Yunnan. She was introduced as a commentator in a tea village.
After several years of study, she was very knowledge-based on tea varieties, uses, usages and other related knowledge, and also got the national three grade tea judge certificate.
"Although I majored in Chinese at University, I don't want to do anything related to this major. My dream is to start my own business one day."
After accumulating a certain amount of money, in early 2007, Wang Yan raised about 100000 yuan and started the small tea house.
Self production, self marketing and quality assurance
"To make tea business, we must first learn to behave and be honest with others."
Wang Yan said that the beginning of the shop was not as easy as she imagined.
Because there are many stores and fierce competition in tea business, and the products she sells are mainly aimed at the middle end customers, there are few customers, so it is difficult for them to open their outlets.
At the same time, Wang Yan has a lot of backlog of tea in operation, and the working capital is difficult.
"Customers do not want to use my tea, indicating that my tea does not have its own brand and characteristics."
In her predicament, she often thought of how to break through the bottleneck problem of sales.
In order to ensure the quality of tea, last year, after many visits, she invested tens of thousands of yuan, set up a small tea factory in Geleshan, and set up a tea picking base. She also went to Yunnan herself to buy raw materials and processed tea. After careful packaging, she sold the product to the market.
With the self-produced and self marketing mode of operation, coupled with Wang Yan's initiative to go out of the shop to promote her products, her product fame has been increasing continuously, and her repeat customers are increasing. Her tea business is booming. At present, she has solved the employment of 10 laid-off workers.
Taste life from tea
"It has been 11 years since I entered the tea industry, and I have learned a lot about my life."
Wang Yan told me that before, she was irritable, and after dealing with tea, she gradually realized many of the reasons in her life: "why is life like a cup of tea? You can taste the joys and sorrows of life."
Wang Yan said that tea in China has a long history and deep culture in tea.
Nowadays, people are not satisfied with simply drinking tea. Tea has become a realm and entertainment way.
Speaking of the next step, Wang Yan said, from picking tea, banknote tea to finally making tea, every ring has very high technical requirements. The same tea leaves may be good or bad, which will test the level of tea artists.
She said she would continue her studies, improve her professional skills, gradually expand the scale of enterprise production, solve the employment of more difficult personnel, and repay the society with practical actions.
